This program was SO helpful!!! I graduated college with a degree in Marketing, and honestly, I never learned a lot of the skills and tools we covered in this program. I loved that the accelerator focused on up to date software and industry tools because those are exactly the types of skills employers are looking for. It gave me the opportunity to learn things I wish I had been taught in college and made me feel more prepared for the workforce. I also made some great connections with the girls in my cohort! Everyone was so supportive, encouraging, and genuinely wanted to help each other succeed. I’m really grateful for the community I was able to build through the program! One thing I would mention is that the program can be a bit more challenging to balance if you work full time. There were definitely times when balancing work, the accelerator, and everyday life felt overwhelming, especially when trying to keep up with assignments and deadlines. I really appreciated that extensions are available for students when needed, because that gives students some flexibility when life or work gets busy. However, I think it is important for students to know that taking an extension may mean that they do not finish or graduate from the program with the original cohort timeline. Overall, I would recommend this 8-week accelerator program!

Overall, I was impressed with Sky Society's Accelerator program. As someone with a PR background who graduated several years ago, it was helpful to learn marketing fundamentals and gain practical, applicable experience that I could actually add to my portfolio. I registered for the 50/50 option (attend both live + recorded lessons) due to my work schedule. The lessons were engaging, and the instructor Bri was super knowledgable, positive, and friendly. The assignments were pretty clear and detailed, and either Bri or the TA, Andrea, were responsive any time I needed clarification. My main critiques are some of the group projects could have been individual assignments, especially given the quick eight-week pace of the program. I also wish there were perhaps ways to gain portfolio experience with other brands beyond just Sky Society's brand. Otherwise, I would recommend this program overall. I also liked having access to various mentor workshops and learning about different niches within marketing from professionals at top companies. I connected with some very fun, like-minded girls in my cohort too!

I loved working with all these girls as we grew our marketing careers. I valued the many different platforms and assignments we accomplished, but was craving more analytical work.

The sky society team is so amazing and helpful. If you are able to do this class fully live, do it! I think I would have gotten way more out of it if I did it live.

The Sky Society Accelerator was such an incredible program to be a part of. Although I went in with a career in marketing, I walked away feeling significantly more confident in my abilities and the direction I want to take my marketing career.

I feel a lot more confident finding a marketing job and am grateful for the real life marketing projects we got to work on.

Sky Society is a great foundation to transition into Marketing, especially if you're someone like me who didn't have any experience in Marketing at all. I was able to gain hands-on experience through email marketing, social media, event planning, and learning tools that help you stay organize when it comes to marketing strategy and planning. I think if you really believe in yourself and are passionate about a career in Marketing, it's a great investment. I feel confident in my interviews when I get to speak about my experience from Sky Society.
