I experienced a significant skin reaction after trying a SkinMedica product sample and contacted the company to report it. I provided the information requested for their adverse-event reporting process and cooperated fully with their follow-up.
I understand that individual skin reactions can occur and that a complimentary sample does not necessarily entitle someone to a refund. What disappointed me was the customer experience that followed. After going through the reporting and escalation process, SkinMedica ultimately declined to offer any meaningful accommodation or even an alternative sample to allow me to continue exploring the brand.
For a premium skincare company, I expected a more thoughtful customer-care response. Unfortunately, this experience has made me reluctant to purchase SkinMedica products in the future.

Luxury begins at customer service- this is NOT it
Wish I would have read these reviews before ordering from Skin Medica. Specifically I ordered TNS® Advanced+ Serum. I would LOVE to review the product, but they cancelled my order for no reason. When I called to inquire as to why, the agent could not care less. She literally worked for as much as her minimum wage pays her. Customer service reps are the first line and face of a company. If this is how they treat people, I wonder how they care for their products. I was deigning to use the serum as an addition to my skincare routine. I am loyal to Biologique Recherché and they would NEVER. La Prairie would NEVER. Luxury skin care companies treat customers like family which reflects both in their products and our skin. Anyhow, Biologique Recherché family thanks for keeping my skin snatched and glowing. Skin Medica, go ahead and start selling at the dollar store- I assume your product is as shitty as your customer service.

Terrible customer service – order never received
I placed an order directly on SkinMedica.com on July 28, 2026, for approximately $360. Almost two months later, I still have not received my order.
I contacted customer service multiple times and was repeatedly told to wait. After such an unreasonable delay, I requested a full refund, but I have not received a proper response or my money back.
This has been an extremely frustrating and disappointing experience, especially considering the price of these products. I would strongly advise customers to think twice before ordering directly from SkinMedica.com.

SkinMedica Does Not Stand Behind Its TNS Advanced+ Serum or Its Dispensing System
Title: SkinMedica Does Not Stand Behind Its TNS Advanced+ Serum or Its Dispensing System
I have been a longtime SkinMedica customer, but my recent experience with TNS Advanced+ Serum and SkinMedica Consumer Care has been extremely disappointing.
My bottle stopped dispensing serum even though a considerable amount of product remained inside. I sent SkinMedica photographs clearly showing the unused serum that the pump would no longer dispense.
What makes this particularly frustrating is that SkinMedica itself explained to me that this type of pump operates by vacuum and that air can become trapped “during mixing and filling,” causing the pump to stop dispensing. In other words, their own explanation acknowledges that the problem can originate during SkinMedica’s manufacturing/filling process.
Despite that, I received essentially the same canned troubleshooting response FOUR TIMES—turn the bottle upside down, tap it, prime the pump, etc. I repeatedly explained that I had already done these things and they did not work.
After requesting that my complaint be escalated, the FIFTH and SIXTH responses were essentially the same again. SkinMedica stated:
“We were unable to locate any orders in our system under your name or email address. Therefore we are not able to escalate your request as per policy of the company and system limitations we are not able to offer a replacement.”
They then told me that because the product was purchased from a reseller rather than directly from SkinMedica, I would have to contact the seller for a replacement or refund.
That completely misses the point of my complaint. The retailer did not manufacture the serum, design the bottle, manufacture the pump, or perform the mixing and filling process. SkinMedica did.
I was not simply asking SkinMedica to look up an online order. I was reporting what appears to be a defect in the dispensing system of an expensive SkinMedica product and asking the manufacturer to stand behind it.
TNS Advanced+ Serum is a very expensive premium skincare product. Customers should reasonably expect to be able to use the product inside the bottle. They should not lose a significant amount of serum because the dispensing system stops working.
Six communications later, I have received repetitive canned responses, no meaningful escalation, and no indication that SkinMedica is willing to take responsibility for a dispensing problem that its own customer-service explanation says can occur during mixing and filling.
In my experience, SkinMedica does not stand behind its manufacturing/dispensing process when there is a problem unless the product was purchased directly through SkinMedica. That is something I believe prospective customers should know before spending this kind of money on TNS Advanced+ Serum.
For a longtime customer, the handling of this complaint has been remarkably non-customer-oriented and disappointing.

Allergic reaction / empty return promise
My daughter had an allergic reaction to their acne treatment. I contacted the main number for a return and was told to fill out a lengthy questionnaire first then would be emailed the return label. No return label. Contacted them x3 after that and of course there is not a direct person to talk to but they’ll be sure to “forward my information” to get me the return label. Never happened. Terrible customer service, product, would not recommend!

I placed an order on the skin Medica…
I placed an order on the skin Medica website. I paid $9.99 for next day shipping.
I didn’t receive my order until eight days later after several calls and given different names in different numbers, I last spoke to a man named Jose, which proceeded to scream at me about the weather instead of solving the problem is all I wanted was my $9.99 back that I paid for next day shipping because I did not get my item next day. I got it eight days later the end result is nobody did anything and Jose was very rude to me. I do not recommend skn Medica website for ordering skin Medica and I will never order from skin medica website again if you want skin medica cream, you can order it from other websites. You do not have to order it from the skin Medica website and you will get better customer service I can guarantee you. It’s a shame that skin Medica was so greedy and higher rude people for customer service because now you lost a customer.
NEVER AGAIN!!!!!

These are scammers
These are scammers! STAY AWAY. I tried ordering on their website. I received a notification saying order has been cancelled but the company still debited the amount from my card. They charged my credit card and I even got confirmation from the bank that the amount has been debited. I had to cancel my card to avoid them taking money from my account. I tried talking to customer service and they were extremely rude, they disconnected the chat.

No stars for this company
No stars. I bought the wrong product and applied $60 in points from their affiliate Alle. I called within 5 minutes after ordering to try and cancel the product but it was too late. I asked about the points and the rep said she would check and call me back. She did and assured me that I would receive a refund once returned and my points. I got the refund but not the points. When I called to ask about why my points were not back on my account I was told I was not going to get the points back. I sent an email to them explaining the situation and received an email back from Liliana de Leon that said I did not meet the criteria to receive my points back. I was refused I think because ordering the wrong product does not meet the criteria of receiving my earned points back. Look, its not the $60 its the principle. I assumed I would have my points back on my account because it made sense but was also assured by a representative that I would have them back on my account.
