Skim-A-RoundReviews of skim-a-round.com

Seemed to work good at first, was excited about installing it but every time I went to check it the basket had come apart where the cheap plastic upper part of the basket and the lower part of the basket meet. Put them back together several times and made sure the two halves clicked together but they would always come apart! Total trash!

We have owned two Skim-a-Round skimmers. While they worked fine initially, both have now begun to disintegrate. The company advertises a Lifetime Warranty, stating: “This is the LAST pool skimmer basket you’ll ever buy. Every All-In-One is now backed by our Lifetime Warranty for total peace of mind.” Unfortunately, that has not been my experience. I have contacted the company three times over the past three months to resolve the issue. The first response dismissed my claim without ever asking how I maintain my pool or reviewing my pool chemistry. Since then, my follow-up messages have gone unanswered. I maintain my pool carefully and have tried in good faith to resolve this directly with the company. At this point, I am left with no choice but to share my experience publicly. The product may work, but in my case, the company has not stood behind its advertised lifetime warranty.

Waste of money. My current skimmer works better. No better suction, actually worse!

If I could give it a zero I would. I bought these two skimmers with the pro insert which is a nylon stocking that fits into the skimmer to catch all the fine particles. The product didn’t work in my skimmers so I asked for a refund. There was a 72 hour window where you could return the items and if it wasn’t accepted, you had to provide return shipping. To ship the product back it cost $35. I paid $91 for the two skimmers and I wasn’t going to pay 35 to ship it back. This company is a scam. I wouldn’t buy anything from them and they should be ashamed of themselves for the way their Customer Service is and the fact that you can’t contact anyone in the company. Buyer beware stay away from this product. It’s pure garbage.

Trash on my second one cause they won’t honor the warranty! Item stops clipping together after 6. Months

My weir door provides way more surface movement than the skim-a-round even on the highest flow setting. What a joke. Return window is only 10 days, so if you're not in town when it's delivered or don't get around to installing it after that, your SOL. LAME Product.

The product would not fit my pool. Tried to return it 3 days after I received it and they said it does not qualify for return. No phone number and no response to my emails. I do not recommend using them or trusting them.

Order number 16880564SAR purchased this came missing the 3 ring disc I sent them email then the next day I checked box again and the basket had a crack at the top I sent them another email they replied to first email but not the second email I was a returning customer I emailed them 5 times really frustrated now I know why they don’t have a customer service phone number and after reading reviews that I would have to pay return not worth it I’m really disappointed it will go to the trash as now I’m looking to purchase one on Amazon never ever again stay away!!
