Homophobia, discrimination, and complete disregard for your money
Purchase: Admission and Fright & Fast Lane, bought online, order 105805526, and parking Summary: We bought Fright & Fast Lane online. Nothing in the purchase process or confirmation said we had to redeem it at Guest Services for a wristband. Our tickets were accepted at two mazes. At a third maze we were stopped and held. Later, staff made homophobic remarks toward a member of our group, and security removed us from the park with no reason given. Staff involved Cassandra (line attendant, maze: Zoo) Refused our Fright & Fast Lane tickets, which two prior attendants had accepted, and said we needed wristbands from Guest Services. She held our group about 10 minutes waiting for a team lead who did not arrive. When we asked if proceeding would cause a problem, she said she would tell her team lead. We went through the maze, and she reported us. We were stopped. Emiliano (staff): Stopped our group at the maze exit and told us we had been reported. Chloe (staff): Joined the stop. Witness’s Cynthia (security lead): Joined the stop. Witness. Jeremy (security officer): When we explained that we had paid for Fright & Fast Lane, he dismissed it. He said he sees people who pay money there all the time and treats everyone the same. He then removed our group from the park without stating any reason. Flashlights: During the stop, [Chloe, or "security staff"] shone flashlights directly into Keith's and Sally's faces despite not being a trained officer. Discriminatory remarks: During the stop, Chloe said to Keith, "We can tell [he’s gay]." This was heard by Emiliano, Jeremy, Aaron, Cade. What was never offered: At no point did any staff member simply direct us to Guest Services to pick up wristbands and continue our night. Requests: 1. Preserve all security camera and body camera footage from 9/25:26, approx. 22:55, at Zoo, the maze exit, and the route we were escorted out. 2. The stated reason for our removal, in writing. 3. A copy of the incident report. 4. An investigation into the remarks made to Keith Romero, and the outcome. 5. An explanation of where the wristband requirement was disclosed at purchase. 6. A full refund of admission, Fright & Fast Lane, and parking for all members of our group. Also, we have been coming here for 20 years. That’s how they treat loyal guests here.
