I was pleased with Howard County's Transfer On Death (TOD) process. There was a lot more to do than just downloading the forms from the website, but the County Clerks Office walked md through what was needed. They were helpful and compassionate to my feelings of inadequacy.

We found the document we needed easily. We filled it out and if we forgot to answer question on a line we could not move forward. This made sure we filled out every line with the correct information. Then we printed the document and took it to the appropriate county office to be recorded. Overall, it was a smooth process.

I thought this would be another fake “free”site, where it allows you to create your documents and tries to charge you for it to actually get its This site did not pull any of those shenanigans. I was able to fill out my form and download it for free, which I did. My family and I executed the document and filed it with the courthouse. An attorney wanted to charge $400 for this. Because of this experience, the next time I need something to do with regard to estate or financial planning, I’ll be heading to SimplyTrust first.

I forsure thought that getting a TODD was going to be a headache. This was easy to use and understand. Of course, I had to do my own research. But, once I had all the information, it was just a matter of plugging it into the right spots. Don't forget that if your paperwork needs to be noterized..do so and file it with the proper government office.
