SimplyHired searches return false positives in fields and industries that have no correlation with what one is searching for.
I have, on at least two occasions informed them that their system is returning false positives. I program using Assembly language. This has been around since at least 1964 with the S/360 from IBM. Here is part of one of my emails: "assembly language" is what I am searching for. Can you please tell me how these are matches: Field Vehicle Maintenance Supervisor Substation Engineering Lead Financial Analyst Virtual Educational ASL Interpreter (Missouri Certified) And I get this back as the answer (boiler plate): Our search is a keyword search. This means that when you enter multiple words without quotation marks, the search will return results with job listings that contain all of those words in either the job title or description. Those words may not necessarily appear together in the job listing. I may as well talk to a wall.
