They bought my local bank and started charging a whole bunch of monthly fees to have a savings account. If they buy your bank switch right away.

I have never heard of such a lousy bank and how they work to get nsf charges...this bank shuts off the ability to deposit checks with app mobile,, after only 20 checks a month! We can deposit that amount in two days , and then if the balance gets low they also shut you off from making deposits mobile from app. That does not make sense an account gets low so shut deposits off so we can get nsf charges. The only way to deposit into our account is go to lobby which closes at 3....It's 2020 folks. Most banks are virtual these days anyway...this bank is by far the worst ever...Ask anyone, they all hate thus bank..they won't be around much longer the way the think customers are to scam not help...our new bank has 25 hour human assistance 7 days a week, and will take as many deposits as we desire and even has overdraft protection up to 300.00 and will pull from second account if needed....not simmons...ask them, they won't offer any of this because they want 36.00 nsf charges as many as they can create!@ scam , awful, clueless bank..

Customer service is not great at all. It is July 4th debit card is expired. They said they would send it out 2 weeks before end of the month then asked again they said they didn't mail it out till the 21st. So now nothing If i have late bills and credit score problems it may just be walking away. Not to mention this has left me with no money to do stuff with my family without having to borrow from others. Funny how other Banks make sure they mail it out to get it to you at the beginning of the month to avoid the problems. The only hard part is leaving an amazing in town branch part because of this. Goodlettsville Simmons gets five stars just not their higher ups.

I tried to make an on-line purchase and my card was frozen. I called Simmons Bank in Columbia, MO to resolve the issue. Previously I spoke to Casey Ringer, who was very helpful. She has transferred to a different dept and she in turn transferred me to the current dept. Supervisor, Sandra Marriott. I spoke to Christy, who needs re-trained in customer service. Christy has Deplorable Manners. She thought it was more important to badger me and reprimand me for not pulling over while I was driving on the Interstate in OH, than it was to resolve the issue of my debit card. I had tried to use my debit card in OH but it was denied and I got 3 text messages while I was on the road and responded to them and called Fraud dept when I got home, same day. I do NOT text and drive and told her that. After I told her that she took a nasty tone w/ me and started badgering me and lecturing me about responding right away. I asked to speak to her Supervisor. I was put on hold for over 30 min. I hung up and called Casey back the next day who in turn had Sandra Marriott call me later in the day. This was Fri. Feb 19th and Sandra Marriott told me my card was fixed and I could use it. My heat went out that night and I had to have a repairman the next day. I felt funny about my card and wrote him a check instead. Later that day (Sat Feb 20th) I tried to use my debit card at Dollar General and it was denied. Across the street I had a large pizza waiting for me and I barely had enough cash on me to pay for it. I waited all weekend to get my card resolved on Mon since I needed groceries, pay my bills, get my life back, etc. I spoke to a woman named Trish on Mon. She was excellent and I recommend promoting her to Supervisor and demoting Sandra, and firing Christy altogether. I explained the situation. She was helpful, most of all POLITE, and understanding that my $ is inaccessible and let's get it fixed. She fixed it. Period. I asked if my checking account was frozen and she said it wasn't so I wrote a bank in my area a $35,000 check and will close out my account after all my loose ends go through. Why suffer through pathetic customer service when there are plenty of other options?

I have been dealing with Simmons Bank for over 2yrs to close a HELOC that should have been closed in 2017 (it's 2020!). Simmons Bank held both my primary mortgage and HELOC in Jackson, TN from 2014-2016. The local team who handled all my banking needs were excellent. They provided support that I felt was above and beyond what I've experienced dealing with numerous banks over the years. During my 40yr career I moved 12 times and have owned many homes in the process so have some experience dealing with banks. I sold and closed on the home in late 2017 at which time both the HELOC and primary mortgage were closed out. In the year following the closing of the property I received several blank HELOC statements and made numerous calls to Customer Svc to ask them to close out the line of credit. On every occasion, I was told it would be handled. In May2020 during a refinance on my current home, I was informed from my lender that I have an active HELOC at Simmons. I called Customer Service and once again was told it would be handled and they asked me to sign and forward a form to complete the process. I immediately signed and forwarded the form. Today, June 1, 2020, I receive another statement and late fee for my 2019/2020 annual fee...yes people, you can't make this up! I called immediately and spoke to a Customer Service rep who couldn't assist me but wanted to put me in touch with the local branch that I dealt with back in 2017. I asked to speak with a Supervisor and was told she wan't permitted to do so. She asked for my contact information to have the Loan Officer reach out to me which I provided. I asked for the Loan Officer's name and number which she informed me she could only provide their first name. Now that's customer service!! At this point, I'm concerned about their poor administration and handling of this matter. Especially since they are showing a late payment and likely may or have reported to the credit agencies. So, impact to my credit rating? Let alone, there's a HELOC in my name against a property I haven't owned in 2 1/2yrs which could easily be subject to fraudulent activity. Stay away from this Bank.....trust anyone else!

Very bad experience. Avoid this bank AT ALL COSTS. They bought my account from Liberty bank years back, and they have been getting worse and worse. Sometimes locking up my card for buying things at places I regularly buy from, at times I regularly buy them, in the town I live in. The time at which my paycheck actually hits the bank used to be 11:30pm the night before, and it keeps slowly creeping further and further back, now at 3:30am, after I've already left for work and am in dire need of gas money that I SHOULD already have. Won't left me overdraft to pay my electric bill or rent, but will hand money to Microsoft and Hulu, no problem even if there is no money in my account. Transactions on the website are very inaccurate and sometimes take hours to update the balance, and sometimes they will just wait until the next day to process a debit transaction that was completed at 2pm on a Thursday. Not for people who depend on their electronic banking as a ledger. This isn't the god damn stone age. Bad company run by even worse people. Stay with your local bank, that's run by people from the community. Banking at Simmons is a mistake.
