Hello Mr. Merryweather, First, I'd like to thank you for your feedback. We're always looking to improve. That said, we've had many issues with OneDigitals recently and are reviewing their membership with us this week for their lack of response to consumers. Second, I'd like to tell you how our review software works. Instead of our site allowing anyone to sign-up and leave a review, we ask for feedback from every customer that purchases from one of our clients. By doing this, there tend to be more positive reviews since most people only go out of their way to leave a review if their experience was a bad one. However, if asked to leave a review, more customers will leave a review, including those with positive experiences. That's why the star-rating tends to be higher with Shopper Approved. I can assure you that they are real reviews from real customers about their real experiences. It is against our policy for clients to create reviews for themselves and they are unable to delete negative reviews through our software. Hey Dmitry! I'm sorry you had a poor experience with one of our clients. We don't allow our clients to delete negative reviews, and our star-ratings tend to be higher simply because we are contacting and collecting reviews from almost all customers of a merchant. Since we are collecting from a higher volume of customers that have had a range of experiences instead of only customers that have a negative experience (that tends to be the only way that customers find a company profile and leave reviews... if it's a negative experience), the star-ratings are a more accurate reflection of the company. That certainly doesn't mean they don't miss the mark sometimes. If you didn't have the chance to leave a review for the company you had an issue with, please reach out to [email protected] and we would be happy to send you a link to your review. As far as losing money, we want to make sure we aren't backing any companies that really are taking advantage of consumers. This is something we take seriously and we would like to look into this inquiry. Hi Sam, I'm sorry you haven't had a good experience with one of our clients. We do our best to be transparent, and we don't sell reviews or allow our clients to delete negative reviews. If you'd like to update a review with that client, you can reach out to us at [email protected] and we would love to make sure your feedback is passed along. --Response to edit - Our clients choose when the full survey is sent out to its customers with some allowing up to a couple of months before a follow-up email is received. If you still have not had the chance to leave a review, you can reach out to us at [email protected] and we can send you a link to leave a review. Even if you have not received your order, you're able to leave your rating and share that feedback so other consumers know of your experience. Our software sends emails with surveys to customers after they have made a purchase with a company. These are called active reviews. Active reviews ensure that reviews aren't being left on a wrong company profile, that a customer has had an experience with a company before leaving a review, and that all customers are being asked for a review instead of a company only seeing reviews from customers that will go out of their way to leave a review. This gives a more accurate perception of a company since the star-rating is received from more customers of a merchant. Thank you -Shopper Approved Team

Hi Jonathan, Our reviews are collected from consumers of our clients after they have made a purchase. We don't allow our clients to delete negative reviews unless they violate our guidelines (profanities, abusive language, etc.). We do our best to be fully transparent about our process collecting and displaying reviews. Hi Julie, Maybe I can help you here... If you received an email with a link to 'verify a review', that means that you left a review in store or via phone, and then in order to protect you and insure that our review process is protected, we send an email to you with that review in it, so that you can personally review it and approve it before it's actually submitted into our system. That is why you can't edit it, because you already left the review and the email is simply to confirm the authenticity of the review. I hope that helps. Hi JM, The initial survey you completed right after checkout gives you the opportunity to share your feedback on the shopping and purchase process up to that point. A follow-up survey is then sent anywhere from 1 week to 60 days after the purchase so that you can leave a full review. As part of this full review, you can rate things like delivery, price, customer service, and even the product itself if the merchant is collecting product reviews. If you had issues receiving the order or working with their customer service, it is typically in this follow-up email that you would relay that feedback. That being said, if you would like to change your ratings for the initial survey you left, you can reach out to [email protected] with the email address you used along with the domain name of the merchant and we would be happy to send you a link to change your review. Hi Gretchen, I'm not sure why Roberts Camera canceled your order - that's very unfortunate. However, I can help to clarify why you received a review email from us. Whenever a purchase is made through one of our clients, an email is automatically scheduled to be sent out to the client's customer to collect a review regarding their overall shopping experience. This is a very good thing, because it provides every single customer with an equal opportunity to leave a review, whether good or bad, so that new customers can get the most accurate picture possible of the company and what ALL of their clients think of them - not just a select few. And because the reviews are managed by a trusted 3rd party, they can't cherry pick because we display all of their reviews publicly. Regarding your comments above, I'm not sure why anyone would give a good rating of a company that canceled their order, so I'm not sure how you receiving a survey email from us helps the company in any way - it actually does the opposite - it gives you the ability to leave a bad review of your experience. If there's anything we can do to help you regarding your order, we would be happy to contact Roberts Camera on your behalf. Overall they have a great reputation, and have a 4.8 Star rating with over 6,300 actual customer reviews. I'm sure they would be happy to work with you to get whatever issue you have sorted out.
