Do not use this shipping provider - EVEN IF THERE IS A FIRE.
Do not use this shipping provider. I used them for 7+ years, afterwards, they switched to a cut-rate insurance provider, without notifying me of the exclusions. We had a package damaged (we are a gun store), and they denied the package because it contained a firearm. After they switched to Parcelguard, we shipped/insured 275 packages, all of which were apparently uninsurable. When I made the claim, Parcelguard, their insurance provider told me that I should rate a full refund from Shipstation, but they are refusing to make this right. Now, $50 says that Shipstation will reply to this review saying that they have no power to approve/disprove claims. I am saying that the issue is that I paid over 3k on insurance coverage for items that were uninsurable, and was requesting the only $1200 for the item that was destroyed.

Thank you for sharing your experience, and we understand your frustration. However, we want to clarify an important detail. UPS from ShipStation explicitly lists ammunition, firearms, and weapons as items that cannot be shipped through our UPS from ShipStation integration. This is outlined in our knowledge base here: https://help.shipstation.com/hc/en-us/articles/16803491656091 As the shipper, it is the responsibility of the merchant to ensure shipments comply with these restrictions before shipping. It's also worth noting that ShipStation does not have the ability to approve or deny claims. That process is handled entirely by the insurance provider. Because firearms fall outside of what is permitted through UPS from ShipStation, any resulting loss or damage would not be eligible for a claim. We recognize this is a difficult situation and appreciate your understanding.
