A great platform, as long as nothing goes wrong.
Shipstation's platform can be agile, effective, and dramatically helpful for small and medium-sized businesses. However, if there are any issues, it is nearly impossible to find a support agent willing to do what is necessary to resolve them. They are quick to pass the buck and blame integration partners, even integrations they own. We've had several tickets open for weeks that are dramatically impacting our ability to keep our records updated, as they are failing to correctly export track and trace information on some combined orders. We asked in the ticket why some orders were being updated correctly while others were not. Their response was, and I quote "We think that [your middleware] doesn't want orders to be combined in ShipStation." They then marked the ticket as solved. Unfortuntely for Shipstation, they OWN the relationship with this particular middleware, so if there are problems with it, it's entirely on them. And second, they provided no helpful context to the actual issue, without trying to blame someone else. This kind of "support" has been consistent on our last several tickets. We are a mid-market, commercial customer and will be strongly considering switching shipping services in the near future. Additionally, there's no one else to escalate these concerns to. In the last 6 years, our account has been connected to 7 Auctane representatives, and only a single one has been helpful. 5 of those 7 have had one or two conversations with us and then never followed up on our requests or support. So, this review is my attempt to find some support. If you are looking for a shipping solution, I'd urge you to consider the above. If the platform works, it's fantastic. When it doesn't, you're on your own. Update: This review did initiate an internal outreach from Shipstation, who connected our account with a senior tech support rep. Unfortunately, both the combined orders issue mentioned and the error regarding our pick tickets no longer printing in warehouse location order are "known issues with no timeline for when a fix will be released". I'm grateful for the escalation, but I am disappointed that, ultimately, nothing will be rectified efficiently or clearly. These are major misses for commercial partners, and the inefficiencies these errors create will cost our company money. This demonstrates both the difficulty of escalating a ticket and the frustration of issues not being addressed in a timely fashion.

Thank you for taking the time to share this feedback, and we're glad one of our agents was able to connect with you and is actively working through these issues with you. That said, we hear you, and the experience you described before getting to that point is not the standard we want to hold ourselves to. Having tickets open for weeks with responses that don't address the actual issue, especially when the integration in question is one we own, is not acceptable. We understand how directly that kind of delay impacts your operations, and we're sorry it took this long to get the right attention on it. We're hopeful that the work happening now with your agent will get things moving in the right direction. Thank you for your patience and for giving us the opportunity to make this right.
