The team at Sherpa Prep has been immensely helpful and understanding as I made my way though the emotional process of applying to business school. I enrolled last year in a GRE prep course and with Tae’s help was finally able to get over the 158 “wall.” As I started to identify what schools I wanted to apply to, Tae was there to help me think through my goals, what schools would be a good fit, and the best way to explain who I am to an admissions committee. Through this intensely stressful process I felt comfortable asking for help from the Sherpa team when I needed it and knew that I would find a supportive partner on the other side of my questions. As I wrote my essays, Tae and Nafeez helped me refine my messages and helped with my confidence levels before I hit the submit button. They kept me accountable without being heavy handed. I have three interviews so far and would highly recommend the team at Sherpa for both test prep and the admissions process. To be clear, the process is still stressful, but Sherpa made it significantly less so and I knew I was getting great advice at a fraction of the cost that others would charge. I felt that Tae and Nafeez took time to genuinely get to know me and ensured that my personality, ambitions, etc. were reflected in my words on the page. They weren’t trying to force fit me into their idea of what a competitive candidate looks like, and I am grateful. Thank you!!

For anyone who is unsure, I guarantee that Sherpa is the best GRE preparation option in the DMV area, hands down. Honestly, Jay and his team are amazing. The interpersonal nature of the course — in person classes, optional personal tutoring, and Sunday office hours — is just one of the aspects that make the Sherpa Prep experience. The comprehensive set of books paired with the mobile app and various practice tests and exams provided everything needed for success on the GRE. Not only was Jay a wonderful teacher, making difficult concepts easy to understand, he also was amicable in each and every interaction. As a student, I can tell that Jay loves what he does. He was constantly willing to assist in any way possible and gave advice regarding realistic scores and expectations while addressing any concerns that arose. Jay truly cares about the success of his students and wants to see them do well, and from my encounters with the rest of the team, they also share this mission. It is evident that Sherpa has perfected their teaching model, as they offer relevant strategies to not only take the test but to beat it. Personal diligence is required for maximum results, but Sherpa’s approach is practical; they will help you to identify your personal objectives for the test and work with you to ensure those objectives are met. Prepare to put in the work, and you will surely see results.

A fan for life. I started my journey March 2018 and ended January 2019. Sherpa was there for GMAT prep after I hit a wall with self studying and was also there throughout the application process. Nafeez and Erin are the s h i t. Ended up with a 710 and so far have an interview lined up with Cornell. Will be writing a detailed review when I accept at a school.

Sherpa prep remains the best GMAT prep I have come across. Strong study materials coupled with a dynamic instructional technique and personal interaction put them ahead of every other test prep system. I highly recommend them to anyone who wants to attend a top flight business school.

Sherpa prep was great learning experience. Nafeez is great teacher. Would highly recommend this course for anyone planning to take the GMAT.

I would recommend Sherpa to anyone looking to prep for the GMAT and the GRE. You have to follow the program and put the work in outside of class, but if you do, the results will really show. I improved my GMAT score by 150 points. The instructors are very relate-able, they simplify concepts, and teach you to sniff out whats really happening in questions. You will be a better, more efficient test taker if you prep with Sherpa.

Sherpa Prep is amazing. Nafeez is the man and cares deeply about the success of all his students. I hated the SAT (and didn't do great on it), and the GMAT was intimidating. I threw well over $2500 into books, online courses, and materials before Sherpa Prep came recommended by a friend. With months of hard work, Nafeez kept me accountable. We were able to improve my GMAT score by 100+ points, literally changing the trajectory of my future. @Nafeez, I can't thank you enough. Lessons: (1) Trust his process. He has a plan to get you the score you need. (2) Don't do ANY GMAT related work in the days leading up to your official test. (3) Exercise patience and persistence. It took me four times to exceed the score I needed, and the results were NOT linear - note lesson 1

I strongly recommend Dylan at Sherpa Prep to anyone taking the GRE. My math scores doubled thanks to Sherpa's lesson books and his creative instruction.
