Shemmassian Academic Consulting was of great assistance in my MCAT preparation. Their tutor, Bela, helped me excel tremendously. She fine-tuned all of our tutoring sessions to my needs to ensure that I was getting the most out of every session!

I cannot thank Shemmassian enough for all their help and guidance! My tutor, Nate, was fantastic, he helped me establish and stick to a study plan, and really catered to my specific learning style. Their methods paid off and helped boost my MCAT score by 8 points in just under 3 weeks! Highly recommend.

Working with the team at Shemmassian Consulting has been a rewarding and great experience in my journey to dental school. The guidance I received throughout my application process helped me tremendously in standing out from others. From helping me articulate my ideas and experiences on paper, to having a one-on-one mock prep interview with my tutor, Dr. Shen, who gave me tips on how to improve for the day of. Not only that but the constant support from the entire team rooting for me through it all gave me hope for the application cycle and I knew I had a great support system. This journey made me feel confident knowing I was well prepared along the way and I would highly recommend Shemmasian Consulting!

The support I received from Dr. Shemmassian and his team was the reason why I was accepted into an M.D. school as a reapplicant. Although I struggled with the essay portions of my applications, Lauren really helped me transform my thoughts into articulate writing. The interview preparation was also great. Not only was I able to schedule a practice session on a short notice, but the advice I received made me feel much more confident heading into my first interview. Dr. Yan helped me refine my answers to common interview questions, and he even sent me a detailed outline of what we discussed after our session ended. Overall, I had such a positive experience with Shemmassian Academic Consulting that I plan on reaching out again in a few years for assistance with my residency applications.

My tutoring experience with Shemmassian Tutoring was the best tutoring I ever received. I was set up with a tutor who was kind, understanding, kept me on track, and challenged me in the best ways. All my questions were answered and even in a limited period of tutoring (2 months) from the usual MCAT timeline, I was able to accomplish higher than my target score goal. I would recommend this service for anyone from those unfamiliar and nervous about the MCAT to retaking it with extra assistance.

Shirag delivered on his promise. From the first conversation we had almost two years ago, the insights and support in guiding our family through the complex marathon that is Medical School Admissions was uniformly outstanding. Even before the application process began, Shirag's insights on how to strengthen my daughter's profile was invaluable. And through the application process, from the personal statement, to the activities section descriptions and prioritization, school list and interview preparation, Shirag and the team helped her put together an integrated and compelling narrative that resulted in a successful cycle--5 interviews and multiple MD acceptances. Thank you! My advice: Engage them early.

To give a quick background: I took the MCAT twice. I went from 75th percentile the first time to 95th percentile the second exam. The major change between these two exams was my mindset and my resources. Both aspects were influenced by Shemmassian Academic Consulting. They gave me the confidence to have a positive mindset going into my second exam. I also used the free resources given out by Shemmassian Academic Consulting including the YouTube videos by amazing tutors like Vikram Shaw and the MCAT topic summaries found on their website. Overall, I highly recommend this service for any premedical student out there that needs guidance.

Shemmassian Consulting has been the most valuable aspect of my entire medical school application process. From the quality of support, to the responsiveness and instant accessibility of the Shemmassian team, I was able to most effectively talk about my experiences in a way that made me stand out from others. I honestly believe I would not have had the success I had this application cycle without the help from my Shemmassian advisor, and it was a great experience.
