Scam. Beware. Took my deposit, but then ghosted me at pick up time. Eventually responded, said it was my fault for "not paying the real price". Extortion tactics. Stay away.

Shelby Auto Transport moving my son’s car to college
Just used Shelby Auto Transport to move my son’s car from Los Angeles to Indiana! It was a last minute pick up (another high rated auto transport company dropped the ball!) it was just horrible experience scheduler person did ok communicating but I was getting calls and updates that made no sense from 2-3 different phone numbers telling me they are dispatchers and the I would have to chase the assigned agent down who would give me an update but then 15 mins later give me completely different outcome! Long story short I had to drive 96 miles from Hanover, IN to somewhere outside Cincinnati, OH with my son in the middle of the college drop off time which is a difficult time to pick up the car and drive it back!!! Mind you I have paid for “door-to-door” service. To do so I was promised a discount, not much 8.7% just to basically cover gas for the car “recovery mission” just to face insults from the responsible agent and accusations of posting bad reviews and such. My honest assessment is Shelby is as bad as MOST other transport companies. I would NEVER EVER under any circumstances use Shelby again and neither should any of you looking to transport the car from point A to point B

Agreed delivery on Aug 18th estimated…
Agreed delivery on Aug 18th estimated and we've double confirmed dates with broker. But on Aug 15th, broker insulted driver and forced to deliver 3 days earlier than agreed date. They tried to deduct $250 from the payment. They never confirm dates with costumer, They themselves deceived their customers and are generally irresponsible.

Shelby auto and Ray are nothing but…
Shelby auto and Ray are nothing but professionals from start to finish… this is the 2nd time I’ve used them for cross country car shipping buying and moving. Ray will stay in constant communication with you letting you know where your vehicle is and when it’ll get there. Great communication with the drivers too. No upsell or holding your vehicles hostage, what your quoted is what you get and some of the lowest quotes I’ve found- thanks again Ray- BV
