In February of 2025 I knew my lease was coming up in April and I had to decide if I would renew or move. I saw a cockroach in my apartment and knew it was time to move. For the past seven weeks, the apartment complex I was living in sent an exterminator to spray my apartment every Friday some time between 9am and 4pm (but don't go into the apartment for 4 hours after they spray). I managed to find a new place and the lease there started March 26th. I was hoping to hire movers for that weekend (the 29th or 30th) but didn't want to use the company I had hired to help me move to this place. They had been nice enough, but it was clearly a group that had been hired by a referral agency and their stench gave me flashbacks of office place sexual harassment. The only problem was that Shamrock did not have any movers available to help me until April 12th (my lease ends the 15th). That was disappointing but it gave me some time to check out where everything might go in the new place and start moving stuff myself. As part of the cockroach treatment, residents are asked to remove everything from cabinets and cover it up on the couch, bed, or dining room table. I hoped that I could move stuff to the new place instead of putting it back in the cabinets. Today, Arturo, Jorge, and Juan arrived on time, introduced themselves, and were overall very kind. They were quick and efficient in helping me to pack up the remainder of my clothes, dishes, books, etc. And handled the property manager's disgruntled attitude about a tenant moving out than I would have (he told them they couldn't park where they had parked eventhough he had told me movers were allowed to park there). When we arrived at the new apartment, they were able to understand where I wanted my furniture placed and asked questions as they came up. I would definitely recommend this company and this group or movers.
