I am writing this to warn others regarding my experience shipping 16 boxes from India to the US with SFL Worldwide. My shipment contained high-value personal items, including designer handbags, perfumes, and expensive traditional attire (sarees/lehengas). Despite paying ₹1,57,000 for air shipping and insurance (Rs 12500 per box), the service was unacceptable. Timeline of Delays and Lack of Transparency: Detailed Timeline of Events: • August 5: Paid in full for air shipping with a guaranteed delivery window of 15–20 days. • August 25: Only 5 boxes were delivered. • September 5: Received 1 box after constant follow-ups via WhatsApp and phone calls. • September 12: Received 4 more boxes (totaling 10). The remaining 6 were missing without explanation. • October 8: After I repeatedly contacted the agent, I was told the remaining 6 boxes were being held for a "clearance fee" of ₹25,200. Despite all 16 boxes being shipped together, I was forced to pay this extra charge under duress to release my items. I was promised delivery in increments of 2+2+2 within 7–10 working days. • October 16: 2 boxes were delivered. • October 24: The remaining 4 boxes failed to arrive as promised. • November 13: 2 more boxes arrived only after I threatened legal action. • November 17: The final 2 boxes were finally delivered—nearly three months after the initial payment. Missing Items and Damage: Upon inspection, I discovered that multiple branded perfumes, handbags, and expensive jewelry were missing. Other items arrived broken due to poor handling. The total value of the missing and damaged goods is approximately ₹1,15,000. Misleading Insurance and Poor Redressal: When I contacted the company for a claim, they refused to take responsibility, citing endless loopholes 1. Valuation: They claimed the itemized list lacked "declared values," despite their staff never requesting values during the onboarding process. 2. Insurance Limitations: They stated the insurance (₹12,500 per box) only covers the loss of an entire box, not the theft or damage of contents within it. Conclusion: This company operates with a complete lack of integrity. They utilize hidden charges, provide misleading information regarding insurance coverage, and fail to secure the items entrusted to them. I strongly advise against using this company for international shipping. They are unreliable and fraud!!!!!

15 months elapsed, SFL not yet refunded my $323 which they fraudulently took from me under the threat that unless I paid this Customs charge the goods would be sent to Customs warehouse. They could not produce any invoice from Customs on this money. They took hostage to my invaluable goods from India. Even after payment of hostage money, they didn't release the goods, and I had to take help from USA authorities for getting the goods. Irrespective of a few positive comments from some customers (may be their relations and friends) one should avoid taking their service. Their Indian Agent Multimodal Shipping Chennai is equally unprofessional. I have all the correspondence on this issue.

If it was possible to give negative, I would have given that. They cheated with us in every step of the process. Step 1: at the time of estimation, they did a video tour of the entire house, and the quotation given was of 3500-4000 usd for our shipment from US to India. I understand that final amount could be slightly more than that (10-20%), but when they came for pick up the quotation shared was 7200 and ofcourse I had no choice as I couldn't get anyone else at the last moment and they made full use of it by extorting us. Step 2: The person they sent in the US, kept packing the stuff without bubble wrap and we kept requesting that we have paid for bubble wrap and hence please do it so that our delicate stuff and crockery doesnt break. But they didnt listen and even left few stuff as they left in hurry. Step 3: Then they assured that our left stuff will be picked up and will be repacked and leave US by end of December before we leave from US. We kept asking that when is it leaving and then they suddenly had man power shortage and due to which our shipment didn't leave before we left again inspite of repeated assurance that our shipment will leave US before we leave from there. Finally, it left 1 month later than it's earlier scheduled date. Step 4: we were assured they will repack the stuff again so that it doesn't break when it gets delivered to us. But the poor experience continued, and when we received the item in India, everything that could be broken was broken. Bed, dresser, coffee table, crockery, suitcase etc. I will share the photo as well. Step 5: when I complained with evidence about it, they said you have taken a basic insurance package and our team will get back. And it's been a month since I kept writing to them, and like they have been doing, they are not sharing any timeline of the damage compensation. The reason I am sharing this is that no one else face this problem that I face by using their service.

Biggest crooks in the business .. held my stuff hostage for over a month and did not deliver on what they promised . I had to pay someone out of pocket to do what they were paid to do . NEVER do business with them !!! Horrible unethical and unprofessional .. they are basically THUGS

I had a bad experience with SFL. I sent eight boxes from US to India. One of them with electronic items. I received only seven packages finally. After tracking with SFL, I got one standard answer that they lost the package at customs warehouse. Don’t use SFL for shipping your valuable stuffs. Means they are not capable of handling the business professionally. Don’t waste money on this movers who can ship only junks from source to destination. At last they will ask us to take compensation not worth to your goods you are sending.

This company is a cheat. Starting from the sales person, who commits on all sorts of things and later conveniently retracts. And forces the customer to sign declaration that he will not go to social media. Since this is illegal to force somebody in lieu of compensation, I have filed a complaint against them at the consumer forum in Texas. If this company forces someone else to do the same, I encourage you to do the same. It can be done online and in a few steps.

Except mattresses all other appliances, furniture including leader sofas were damped in water during the shipping and spoiled beyond usage. Electrical appliances (Washer and Dryer) got dents, broken control panels. Probably mishandled in every stage of shipping, soon after we handed over the goods from our home from Irving, Tx to shipped to India.
