Sexy Mama MaternityReviews of sexymamamaternity.com

This company is a scam. They advertise store credit but if your items don’t fit they send you a shipping label and never respond again so you can never use it. Sucks because I loved the bathingsuit but they refuse to honor my store credit or even respond. Don’t order from here!

The clothes are super cute but they don’t offer a wide range of sizes and the return/exchange policy is terrible. I tried on multiple occasions to exchange a dress I bought but no one ever got back to me. Now I’m stuck with a dress that doesn’t fit.

I have ordered from Sexy Mama Maternity twice. The first time, I was disappointed that the colour of my “Midi Maternity Dress with Short Sleeves in Blush Pink” was really more of a peach colour, and did not match the colour on the website or as shown on Instagram. I decided to overlook this and not complain. I recently made a second order, for two more dresses (a White sweetheart wrap dress and a Blue Rain short sleeve dress). The Blue Rain dress is satisfactory. On the other hand, the “white” dress isn’t white at all. It’s a dark cream, almost yellow. When I hold it up against other white clothing that I intended to wear it with, it’s a totally different colour and tone. There are also colour/dye inconsistencies across the dress. I emailed the SMM maternity to express my disappointment, not once, but three times over the last two weeks, and have yet to receive any reply at all. Frankly I would expect better service from any of the nameless sellers on AliExpress, let alone a “female-owned small business”. I’ll not be buying from them again.

I loved, loved the clothes that I ordered from here. I receive so many compliments on any of the outfits that I have worn from this company. However, I wanted to return a couple of things, two separate times, and received no response from the company. I attempted to reach out via phone, email and through the website, I believe, and no response at all. This is super disappointing.

The customer service is lacking. Very email is an auto response and I have never been able to talk to a live person. There’s a phone number but no one ever answers or returns my calls. They shipped my order a month after I bought it and by then I was no longer pregnant. Have I been reimbursed? Nope. Have I spoken to anyone? Nope. No one has had the time for me. And on top of all of that the fabric is transparent and thin. Poor all around.

It was supposed to be a gift for my wife's birthday and she was going to love it. Instead, I ended up with a month late birthday present that didn't even fit. We gave all the measurements that were requested and the date we'd planned to have our maternity photoshoot. Instead of sending the product right away, I guess they thought it would be ok to wait to send it on the day of the photoshoot. I had to make several requests to have it expedited. When the dress arrived, even with the stretchy material, it was too tight on my wife's belly. It was almost like it was tailored it for the day I'd given the measurements instead of the date of the photoshoot. We were so disappointed. When we went to send it back, Sexy Mama's didn't want to accept the return. Instead they told us their 'expert designers' thought the dress looked great on my wife (i sent them photos to prove it was not looking right). Finally they agreed to the return, but of course there would be one more problem. They got the return and about a week later I received an email saying they were granting us store credit instead of a refund. Now my wife is too far along for needing anything sexy/maternity and I definitely don't want to go through this experience again. It's a shame, we had our maternity photoshoot last week and it really would've been nice to write something nice about the sexy mama brand. Instead, we had to buy some last minute dress so she could have something. Way to ruin a birthday and maternity shoot SMM :(

Took forever to ship and dresses fit poorly and awkward. Also, sneaky return policy! You won’t get a refund just a store credit only so by the time you return your item and get credit, then order something else and wait for it to ship , you are almost two months in. At that point, I didn’t even want the dresses.

The product is good. However the customer service and shipping are horrible. I placed my order 1.5 months before I needed my dress. 2 weeks before my “first wear date” I emailed them because I hadn’t heard that it had been shipped. They wrote back and assured me it would arrive by my “first wear date“. It arrived the day after I needed it, and so I had to scramble for another dress in my small hometown last minute. After I sent back the dress they would not give me a full refund because of a “restocking fee”. Very disappointed in this company since I gave them ample time to ship to me, I double checked, and they still could not follow through and in the end did not rectify their mistake by giving me a full refund. In regards to their reply below: after a string of nearly 50 emails back and forth to sexy mama maternity asking for a refund I finally filed a complaint with the better business bureau. It was only then that sexy mama maternity offered to refund the additional $7 that they fought so hard to keep when they refused my full refund. They did offer a full refund in exchange for me removing this review, but I feel that other customers should be able to know the truth and that is worth my $7.
