The agent for Servpro was to coordinate with all require sub-contractors in order to complete a residential mold remediation project in a professional and timely manner. Other than providing a cost estimate this agent's skill level falls far from what's required to accomplish any such task! When asked as to when the contractors are going to arrive on site - His response to me was "I have no idea, no one works for me and I have no control over their schedule" So, here we are in Florida, two 84 year ole' folk, with medical issues, 7 days in & still counting with no A/C or hot water, and a Servpro representative who obviously hasn't a clue nor does he "shive-a-git"

DO NOT LET SERVPRO INTO YOUR HOUSE.
DO NOT LET SERVPRO INTO YOUR HOUSE.
A Servpro crew from Guelph was sent to our house in Ottawa by our insurance company to help clean up after the Canada Day flooding. The crew did not have a clear understanding about what they were supposed to be doing. They began work without any worksite preparation.
The manager reassured us despite the age of our house, testing for asbestos was not necessary because they "treat the job as if asbestos is present". Materials containing asbestos were improperly removed, transported, and disposed of. (After we parted ways with Servpro, we hired an independent company to perform asbestos testing, and the results came back positive.)
The house was not sealed off from the work area and the HVAC registers in the room were not closed, including the return vent, which was directly in front of the furnace, and which we specifically asked to be covered. Asbestos-containing materials brought through the house were not in sealed bags. Materials fell on the floor on their way to the door. A trail of material was left between our front door and the open pile they tossed the broken bags upon.
When we presented our direct observations about how the work was done to the manager, she insisted we were wrong because "that is not how they do things". We were never provided with any paperwork of any kind, despite multiple requests.
Two valuables went missing, including an AirPods Pro case that pinged all the next day from the parking lot of their hotel. The manager suggested it was in the garbage, then returned it, damaged, the day after. The money clip full of cash that went missing during this time never resurfaced. While we cannot prove who took it or where it went, its disappearance during this window is deeply frustrating.
The manager claimed work was done that clearly was not, maintaining the claim even when presented with evidence to the contrary. She said they could "do it again". We had someone else finish the job.
DO NOT LET SERVPRO INTO YOUR HOUSE.

Just got off the phone with Servpro
Just got off the phone with Servpro. They wanted me to file an insurance claim before they would want to work on it; It's expensive they said. After saying I would pay for out of pocket, and I needed service as soon as I could get. Insurance was what they wanted. So, with my 2 5x5ft areas surrounding my bathroom door, I'll do it myself. my insurance is a 3,000 dollar deductable.
Granted if the bill was astronautical I could have filed one. - that being said I was well willing to pay up to 10k out of pocket to get it done before more damage sets in. I will take your advice and call the insurance company, while i do it myself. I imagen with the run around we will need to tear walls and replace floors.

Absolutely horrible work done and the project manager never showed up after the contract was signed! Absolutely horrible company. Do not let them take advantage of you during a time of weakness. They took advantage of my 77 year old mom.

When our home was destroyed by the…
When our home was destroyed by the hurricane, we were told that our belongings—our jewelry, shoes, and other personal items—would be packed into bags for us. We trusted that promise.
Instead, when we finally got access, almost everything of value was gone. The only bags that were left were filled with trash. We were already grieving the loss of our home, and then to realize that so many of our belongings had disappeared was absolutely heartbreaking.
It felt like someone took advantage of our family during one of the hardest times of our lives. We worked so hard for those things, and losing them after everything we had already been through has been incredibly painful.

Don’t Use Servpro North Pomona/ La Verne
Servpro North Pomona/ La Verne is the most dishonest business I’ve ever had the misfortune to work with. After the Eaton Fire they promised to help us. What actually happened was almost as devastating as the fires. They lied, didn’t finish the work, caused extensive damage to my home and then put a lien on my home. This particular Servpro is a nightmare. Save yourself a huge headache. Don’t use them. You’ll regret it.

Do not hire SERVPRO of Howard County
Do not hire SERVPRO of Howard County. I am writing this review having just received the court dismissal paperwork confirming that after dragging me through months of disputes, regulatory complaints, and litigation, they settled for exactly what I offered them from the very beginning. Let that sink in.
Here is what this company put me through to arrive at the same outcome we could have reached a year earlier:
I signed a contract in October 2024 with a completion date of November 15, 2024. They took my deposit immediately and then disappeared. For months I had no functioning bathroom and received zero communication from SERVPRO despite my repeated attempts to reach them. They never told me their project manager had died and simply let my project collect dust while I waited. Months of silence. No reassignment. No accountability. Nothing.
When they finally showed up, the tile work was so bad it had to be torn out and redone multiple times. We are talking about a professional restoration company that could not install basic tile correctly on the first attempt, or the second. The photographic evidence of their workmanship is genuinely embarrassing.
When I raised these issues and pushed back on the final invoice, which arrived six months after the contracted completion date and included charges I was never invoiced for during the project, they responded by threatening me with attorney fees, late fees, and legal action. Then they actually followed through and filed suit against me in court, represented by an attorney, apparently convinced they could bully me into paying in full for a job they delivered five months late and half wrong.
They were wrong. I filed complaints with the Maryland Office of the Attorney General and the Maryland Home Improvement Commission, prepared a full defense, and was ready to walk into that courtroom. Case No. D-01-CV-26-019615, District Court of Maryland for Baltimore City. Look it up.
They dismissed the case and settled for the $2,000 I had been offering them for over a year. The same number I put on the table long before lawyers, court filings, and months of stress were ever involved. They chose every single one of those steps rather than simply do the right thing.
This company will take your money, vanish, deliver substandard work, blame you for their failures, threaten you with litigation, and ultimately fold the moment you stand your ground. The only reason to hire SERVPRO of Howard County is if you enjoy fighting for basic accountability from people you are paying to do a job.
There are honest, professional contractors in Baltimore. Find one of them instead.
