Serious issue with closing account + 2 extra month charges
Extremely dissatisfied with the scummy practices that I have observed from the billing/account services. I have experienced repeat instances of underhanded refusal to let me cancel my account and being wrongfully charged after terminating my account. I warn anyone of signing up with ServCorp due to the egregious account management practices they have. This post details my experiences: On March 29 2022, I used the LiveChat support to request a cancellation. They erroneously tried to arrange the account to cancel on May 30th, but I caught their mistake and they acknowledged that the correct 30-days notice termination date would be April 30. Rather than proceed with the account termination that I was clearly requesting, the LiveChat support person only “notified my account manager”. They asked if I wanted my account to be put on pause, to which I said I want to TERMINATE the account. Later that day, Jessica Cordoba from that particular ServCorp center asked to call me. I said: No call necessary, terminate my account. The next day, she again asked to call. I once again replied, in polite but still direct terms: Terminate my account. I did not receive confirmation. On May 2nd, I received an invoice from Jessica Cordoba @ ServCorp for the month of May, and my card was charged automatically. I immediately replied reminding her about the CANCELLATION and requested confirmation of such, as well as reversal of the charge. I did not receive said confirmation. By this point, ServCorp was already demonstrating dishonest and ridiculous business practices. Now, on June 1st, I have been sent a new invoice for June and it appears I will be wrongfully charged once again. I have called Jessica Cordoba and another employee at ServCorp who sent me the June invoice, and have not received an answer by the end of the day.
Response from Servcorp USAJun 9, 2022
Hello Lisa, I would like to start by apologizing for the inconvenience and your experience with Servcorp. We pride ourselves on our high levels of service and ensuring a positive customer experience. I am aware of your account and I have confirmed with Emily Brasley that your account has been terminated as of April 30, 2022. A refund was issued for the overbilled months and the termination fee was waived due to the inconvenience and lack of response from the previous manager. I hope that by making things right you could consider Servcorp again in the near future. Please feel free to contact me directly if there is anything else I could do for you.
