Terrible communication and absolutely no logic in how my situation has been handled.
I tried contacting Sentry and received no meaningful response. I was told to wait for a letter, but the letter never arrived. Months later, I discovered they had sent it to my old address—even though Sentry had already communicated with me by email, knew I had moved into a property they manage, and had helped me set up my account.
When I finally gained access to the account, I discovered several late fees and additional charges. I have now been trying for months to get these charges properly addressed, and the communication continues to be terrible.
What concerns me most is dealing with a company that can add fees and potentially pursue a lien against someone's home while being so difficult to communicate with when that homeowner is actively trying to resolve the issue.
I am fully prepared to challenge these charges through the appropriate legal process if necessary. Having lien authority does not mean homeowner concerns should simply be ignored.
Based on my experience, I would not recommend Sentry Management even if their service were free.

The worst hoa company.
They make mistakes with billing, sending out duplicates, sending to the wrong state, charging for things they can't explain $300-$400 extra a month for WHAT? Do not follow their own contract rules. Not sending warning letters, or fines when for legitimate reasons. Ignoring phone calls.

Sentry Mgt. A Terrible Company To Do Business With
I have been doing maintenance as a sideline for over 20 years. This is the "WORST" management company I have ever been involved with. Their communication and follow thru are "TERRIBLE" and on top of that they have a company called Vendor Smart who processes the basic vendor info. This company charges $150 a "year" for you to do business with Sentry Mgt. In all of my years of doing maintenance I have "never" had to pay a company to get paid !!! That part is normally negotiated between the mgt. company and the condo association. I would not recommend either of these companies to anyone !!!

San Francisco Townhomes, Lakewood, Co. Property Management
I have lived in the Community for 6.5 years. Property management was transitioned to Sentry in February 2026. My hoa dues just plain "got lost" even though they cleared the bank. I was advised to provide the "back and front" of the check, again, these were ACH payments. I gave them statements. To make a long story short I was locked out of my account portal until I could pay what their calculations were. I ended up paying because i had 7 calls i would be going to collection and an attorney would get involved. A certified letter and many emails, for their administrative delays.
After being locked out I sent a payment for 2 months of dues to the "correct address" it never showed up and I had to pay a stop payment fee of $33. They did not want to listen to me, that was to difficult, no common grounds, no solutions other than collections. As a customer and a previous Real Estate Broker, I am famililar with hoa"s and this one by far is one of the worst. I cannot even begin to explain the maintenence and up keep on the grounds and parking lots, it really makes me want to sell my place, if the market changes I will however, I am not sure who would want to buy it judging from the outside.

My Experience with Sentry Management
My Experience with Sentry Management
In my opinion, and based on my personal experience, Sentry Management is one of the worst property management companies I have dealt with.
Today, July 15, 2026, I attempted to make a payment related to an HOA account issue involving past and recurring payments that had previously been managed by a family member. We fully acknowledge our responsibility for the situation and understand any consequences associated with missed payments.
My frustration is not with the obligation itself, but with the lack of customer service and support I received while trying to resolve the matter.
I called Sentry Management's main office at (703) 642-3246 seeking assistance with making a payment. Rather than receiving help, the representative seemed eager to transfer me to ClickPay, the third-party payment processor utilized by Sentry Management.
After spending more than 45 minutes on the phone back and forth, I found myself caught in a frustrating cycle: ClickPay redirected me back to management, while management directed me back to ClickPay. No one appeared willing or able to take ownership of the issue and provide a clear solution.
Eventually, I gave up trying to make a payment over the phone and obtained a cashier's check instead. I personally delivered the payment to Sentry Management's office located at:
7619 Little River Turnpike, Suite 210
Annandale, VA 22003
While there, I shared my experience with the employee at the front desk. Unfortunately, the individual who assisted me, whom I believe was named Ambre, showed little interest in acknowledging or addressing the concerns I had just spent nearly an hour dealing with. Rather than showing empathy or attempting to understand the situation, she immediately shifted responsibility and suggested that our HOA had chosen ClickPay.
With industry experience, I respectfully disagreed. ClickPay is a vendor service used by Sentry Management to process payments. Homeowners typically do not have a direct say in that contractual relationship. Instead of listening to legitimate customer concerns, the conversation became focused on deflecting responsibility.
What disappointed me most was the overall lack of accountability. The issue was not simply about making a payment; it was about receiving basic customer service when trying to resolve a problem. At every step, I felt as though I was being passed off to someone else rather than helped.
For any HOA board evaluating management companies, I would strongly encourage doing thorough due diligence and considering alternative options. Based on my experience, Sentry Management has demonstrated poor customer service, inadequate problem resolution, and a lack of ownership when residents need assistance.
As a homeowner and community member, I intend to become more involved in HOA leadership once the opportunity arises. One of my priorities will be evaluating whether this management company is truly serving the best interests of the community.
This review reflects my personal opinion and firsthand experience.

This company would get ZERO if it…
This company would get ZERO if it existed. They are dismissive, rude, push companies they have business with and overcharge. They do not protect the HOA, either have special interests or flat fool old board members. They fracture any answer or follow up to the point of property destruction. Everything about them is poor quality. They do not respect the fiduciary obligation and licensure regulations. They will let contractors destroy your property, then ignore your messages. There is a Taylor,VP, who goes to great length to do anything against owners and attempt to illegally deny or ignore problems. Any HOA that hires them: BEWARE!

As one of the largest and longest standing homebuilder in the Capital Region, my experience with Sentry has been horrible. Would not recommend them to anyone considering using them for their Homeowner's Association.
