High Initial Quote Then Lowball Offer
SellMyCell offered the highest initial quote I could find online, which is why I chose them. Unfortunately, after receiving my phone, they significantly reduced the offer by comparing it to the condition of a brand-new device with no wear and a perfect battery. In my opinion, that standard is unrealistic for a used phone. Fortunately, I had taken detailed photos and a video before shipping it. I declined their initial revised offer and negotiated a compromise, ultimately splitting the difference. To their credit, once we reached an agreement, payment through PayPal was very fast. Overall, the experience was mixed. I’d recommend documenting your device thoroughly before sending it, but I’ll likely try a different buyer next time.
