AVOID
AVOID. AVOID. AVOID. I had the exact same experience that Jason Smith did with Joy and her supervising attorney Paul not lifting a finger to help me over a trivial appeal to a petty policy violation that wasn’t even in the Amazon Business Solutions Agreement. Not only did they not understand the complaint fully, they clearly did not want to take my case on after being a loyal subscriber for years. I suggested a simple, politely worded 2nd appeal. Joy outright refused to do the appeal, saying that it would “endanger my account” with no proof of that consequence whatsoever. It's her boiler plate answer for the problems she doesn't want to deal with. Clearly, she just didn’t want to do the work—then she cancelled my subscription for "disagreeing with her" and being blunt and honest about how lax she was. (She behaves unprofessionally like a nanny with children most of the time.) If you like working with a director looking to do a rug pull and hanging people out to dry when they get into conflict with Amazon, you found her. She and Paul promise services they can't deliver on like a bad insurance company that doesn’t want pay its claims. Joy hasn’t posted anything new to her Facebook page in nearly a year. The support for your Amazon issues is minimal at best with your questions always being an inconvenience. Sometimes she doesn’t reply at all. I actually asked a question way back when on her group, and she never bothered to publish my post. When she does post an announcement, it nearly always takes a harsh critical tone and takes Amazon’s side. She just ends up reiterating Amazon’s draconian. abusive, on the fly, and very volatile seller policies that severely impact your business. It literally is, “Look at how bad all these OTHER sellers are on Amazon and the crazy things that they're doing. Now, even though Amazon wants to end your business because you didn’t really do anything wrong and didn’t do what these other sellers did, you’ll just have to accept it and comply. Seller Basics won’t do anything for you, even though you’ve been paying me to defend you for years. Thank you for making me rich.” She'll then cite some one sided obscure policy link that you could have easily looked up yourself. Her comments literally made some of her clients really upset who were vocal about her diatribe in the comments section. She also gave kudos to all of her “yes people” in the group, encouraging sellers to crowd shame the bad sellers. If you want to throw $1200+ a year away—it’s higher now that they’ve raised prices—by subscribing to a service that won’t do anything for you--and it's really your call, not mine—when you need help dealing with petty Amazon policy violations or even more severe violations when you’re in compliance most of the time and doing things by the book with your business, hire these jokers. They’ll find any triviality not to help you. Joy is also one of the biggest nits I’ve ever met. One of her reasons for denying doing an appeal was the colorway on my listing, which I didn’t even enter or have any ability to change, being a mismatch. The product pictures were; however, exactly the same and the UPC matched exactly. And she had previously assisted me with a case years ago—before she decided to spend her time milking subscription fees and not providing any service—where all the listing information didn’t quite match up completely. She’s the ultimate hypocrite. Apparently, it’s just easier for Seller Basics to sell you on help and cancel your subscription, losing one or two subscribers that actually ask them to do work sporadically while pretending to provide amazing service to the rest. That "amazing service" turned out to be sadly having one low level employee in the legal department as their contact and asking another seller what to do in my suspension case. That’s "amazing service" until you have a problem. Jason, I owe you a beer sometime. Thank you for your HONEST review.
