They probably are a scam. I accidentally upgraded my plan and asked for a refund immediately, but they refused to give it to me because I had “used 300 tokens.” In less than a minute? My chats for an entire month didn’t use 300 tokens, yet somehow, in just one minute, I supposedly used more than 1,700. It’s a shame they rely on students and fake advertising to do this. Very misleading. Be careful.

I trusted SciSpace because of the large number of positive Trustpilot reviews. After subscribing, I noticed something strange: most of those “positive” reviews come from brand-new accounts with only one review. That should’ve been my first red flag. The product itself is extremely disappointing. On basic medical topics it was fine, but the moment I tried anything slightly more complex, it produced incorrect information, hallucinated claims, and completely fake or irrelevant citations. This is unacceptable for a tool marketed as academic. The pricing is also predatory. Even with a paid subscription, you’re forced into a coin system that drains incredibly fast, and the coins are more expensive than the subscription itself. You don’t even see coin prices until after you pay. Overall, SciSpace feels misleading, overpriced, and unreliable. I regret trusting the positive reviews.

Appalling. Will not load what I have input and keeps giving me data wheel with no output of any substance. Firm believer ai is a tool not the answer but this tool is bad. Tried to get in touch for support and they fob you off and take hours to reply. Credits for the "premium" aren't nearly enough even for me which is a very bit part engineering paper author. I paid for the year and asked for a refund. Quickest buyers remorse I've had in a long time. Do not buy.

I wasted 2 days trying to get the file the way i wanted. It provided ; links that turn error page, page not found page It didnt use consistency in references It gave broken citations Did not follow my prompt and while trying to fix it's errors, my tokens were gone so i could not continue. I clearly stated that i use survey quantitative...and it went ahead and used mixed method while writing. As result i wasted my time and money!!!

Within an hour of using it, the system began asking me to purchase more credits — it had already depleted 300 credits in less than an hour, without even producing the results I needed. I immediately canceled my subscription, but no refund was issued. They refused to refund me, claiming I had already used my 300 credits. I even offered for them to deduct a month’s payment and refund the rest, but after that, they stopped responding. I believe the company’s advertising is misleading and its refund policy unfair to consumers. I advise potential users to be cautious and read the fine print carefully before subscribing. For students and researchers expecting an unlimited AI tool for literature reviews, this service is not what it appears to be.

The platform is disappointing, doesn’t deliver anything valuable, and their customer service is basically nonexistent.
