I've started using Scispace years ago when I was doing my Master's and starting to work as a researcher in AI. It emerged as an invaluable tool for me as it helped me to understand so much research papers and course materials through the reading assistant chat. Throughout the years, I've been very happy with all the new updated and generally how SciSpace was able to keep up with the rhythm of the AI field and deliver awesome new features. One that has surprised me the most was certainly Deep Review: faster than its competitors and tailored to the academic field, it really offers valuable insights and I a great starting point for any research. I recommend Scispace to anyone who does some reading of research articles.

I have benefitted from the chance to try Scispace Premium and it proves to be a practical and user-friendly platform, particularly valuable for researchers, teachers, and students engaged in academic English and language education. Its intuitive interface and efficient search capabilities are especially helpful for those unfamiliar with complex academic databases. A standout feature is the structured support for literature reviews, offering clear summaries of research aims, methods, findings, and limitations—saving time and aiding comprehension. The AI Assistant enhances accessibility by answering questions in simple language, benefiting early-stage PhD students and non-native speakers. The AI Writer supports academic writing through an outline and draft generation, useful in teaching summarizing, paraphrasing, and academic structure. While it should not replace original writing or critical reading, it works well as a supportive tool. Features like article annotation, sharing, and citation management further enhance its use for teaching and research supervision. There exists other language support, including my native language, yet it is used mainly for translating the responses without covering the databases in the corresponding language. I love SciSpace as it finds latest research works on a topic. Not only that, it helps fine tune the search. So far I have only tried pdf summaries, searching literature and taking notes. Planning to try other aspects soon. I belief it helps us read the articles by summarising various parts. Having said that, I think that the summaries are too general and broad. Also, perhaps more capacities such as reordering paragraphes in the notes could be achieved. I’d rather write myself as editing and finetying AI writing is a pain. So I have not explored the AI writing. The AI detection is not too good as it identified my own original content as AI written!
