What a lot of BS. My kids' school uses this company and it sends emails to our friends and family members asking for donations EVERY SINGLE DAY. It also tracks when they click through to the site and then emails them again telling them to donate, which feels like real violation of privacy. Plus if you donate they charge a "service fee" !!! For a school donation! Just give money to your school and skip this scam.

Most people did not get the main scam! Forget about pressure techniques and the silly prize competition. Here is the biggest problem and I ask them to correct me: The gift card you buy for classroom is only good for their online shop. Their prices? I just checked: 3 times of Amazon and Walmart. So each $300 donation you make. 100 goes to class and 200 to the company!!!! Question for school store… Can teacher use gift cards to directly buy from Walmart, Amazon or any retail store? Why are you charging $49 for a paint me item that Walmart has it for $16? People. Donate directly to your teacher or buy from Amazon

I do not like the way this program works with the funds raised being only fractionally available to the school to be used in the "School Store". Of course the teachers and administrators see this as good because of minimal work required of them. As a former educator I get this, they are already overworked but I hope they realize the downstream damage. The so called prizes for kids are merely a way to pressure adults into "donating". The reason for a 1 star rating has to do with the constant emails to me trying to solicit funds. My wife sent funds out of a sense of obligation to my granddaughter but never again. I continued to receive emails because my email had not donated. I do plan to complain to the local school board about this.

My child brought home a SchoolStore packet that said kids get a prize for returning it the next day. The only requirement was “to get signed up. Your child will receive a prize just for participating!” This was a complete LIE. I signed up with my email, as any normal parent would. However, you don’t get the prize code UNTIL YOU EMAIL OTHER PEOPLE. They really meant “we will give your child a prize if you sign up AND promote our business to ten people.” I’ve never seen something so manipulative and scammy. Why on earth would any school partner with a disgusting company like this? I barely know ten people, and I certainly don’t know their emails!! And why would I be required to email them when they don’t even have kids or any interest in using such a website? I don’t care what this company has done. This is an awful introduction and I am frankly pissed off that any school would partner with them. Stick with Scholastic and other companies that don’t force kids to do things.

I am getting constant emails from this organization in the name of a granddaughter. I pay exorbitant property taxes and will not fund a consultant. The school district should be able to well afford to supply their teachers with the money I pay in taxes. And I'm sure this consultant gets a hefty cut.

Number 1 school funding source? This place is a joke. You charge people 30$ for 1 point and a good price cost a minimum of 1,500 most students won’t even raise a quarter if that which leaves them with a 4 dollar fidget spinner. This is discouraging to kids. Thanks for the funding option but your company is profiting of child labor

it is blackmail --- the kid gets a $5 toy -- the school has to shop at inflated prices at the "school store" for the supplies -- the company gets a cut and the school gets the shaft -- relatives of the kids hate it -- it's a no win situation for all but SchoolStore --

I have very dedicated parents and received over $400. I promoted participation and had a 100% of my students receive a hugger. To my alarm after spending over $250 I received my order to find very small highly inflated items with two items missing. The items could have been purchased for less than $100 on Amazon or at the store. I called and got a closed for the upcoming holiday message left a voicemail and emailed .I just read the email and it states some items come from outside vendors and I won’t get a refund back to my account until the two items are returned and at my expense????? How can I return two items I didn’t receive ? I didn’t receive a pizza fraction game and sight word swat game. Why am I responsible for shipping? That’s another thing I noticed every item is charged a separate extremely high shipping cost so if you have 15 items you have 15 shipping cost!!! This eats up a lot of your money on your card and with the high cost of the items you end up with virtually nothing for the money you spend. Perhaps some teachers feel this is okay because we don’t make a lot of money and spend money constantly on our students. This is true but I serve predominantly low socioeconomic students whose families gave out of need and I feel they were robbed. I promoted a program unaware of how misleading it was. I didn’t investigate the company until after I got involved in promoting it. I have read numerous complaints from other dissatisfied people including parents and relatives who received the bait emails.. I understand the company is out to make a profit but there are too many layers used to quickly consume the money on the cards overinflated prices, separate shipping cost for each item etc. The company has in writing that lost/ not shipped items would be replaced and then telling me I have to return items I didn’t receive and pay shipping cost is impossible and criminal. I called again this morning, was on hold forever and then went to voicemail yet again So I can’t even speak to anyone. I emailed asking that my parents be refunded their money and I talked to the person in charge of this program at my school. I’m going to contact my district, my former district, the district s my other grandkids attend and any others I possibly can about SchoolStore and how they treated me as a teacher first and then a customer I’m also contacting the BBB and the reporter for the news who addresses customer care issues. This is unbelievably wrong and someone has to make it known.
