School of MotionReviews of schoolofmotion.com

The workload was intense, the assignments were great and I loved getting constructive feedback. I liked that the assignments were designed to feel like a professional job. There was a good variety in the types of design work given, and I liked how everything was broken into digestible segments. My big complaint is that the website does not remember where you left off in a video, so if you have to stop midway, you have to find your place again later.

It surpassed my expectations! Can't wait to get into another course!

Great experience! I joined Animation Bootcamp as a beginning animator, and I really enjoyed it. The feedback was very useful and constructive. I learned a lot about animation in general and After Effects. I combined it with freelance work, which was a bit challenging sometimes, but there was some time to catch up included, which was perfect. And, I could already apply things I learned in SoM during my job!!

School of Motion is the best place to learn motion design. The courses are amazing, the TA's are awesome and the community is super supportive. The next time I need a skills boost I'll be coming here for sure.

It's simply the best way to learn Motion Designer

The course was great! I learned a lot and I found myself spending many hours on the assignments but actually quite enjoyed working on them. I admit, I was dreading the back-to-back weeks of multiple deadlines, but as I said, the work was enjoyable. I very much appreciated the course supplying me with project assets and concepts, allowing me to focus on the animation aspect of the course and not 'wasting time' on file setup/creating/drawing assets. The homework feedback was constructive and helpful. I appreciate the positive attitude and expertise. I would like to think that with some practice, the manual tweaking techniques will become less time-consuming, but the final minute-long project proved to be a huge endeavor with constant tweaking. Personally speaking, I see now why people use After Effects shortcut scripts. That being said, the teaching will give your work a wonderfully natural animation 'feel' Finally, the teaching videos are great! Very clear and thorough. The extra optional essentials videos were great for people starting from scratch, and I took lots of useful notes throughout. Thank you, School of Motion!

The class was amazing! The instruction from Joey in the videos was very good and easy to follow. The projects we were given were challenging and they really stretched me. The additional info in the podcasts, the downloads and the other items were a great bonus as well. I couldn't have asked for more! I honestly learned more in 8 weeks than I have in years of learning on my own. I walked out of this course with a confidence that I can now tackle almost any project with confidence!

Thorough, well organized, and well taught. The pace was challenging, but it's nice to know that I will have continued access to the course materials so I can continue to review.
