School of Motion has been very time demanding, I had to strive to complete but at the the result is incredible rewarding.

After Effects kickstart was amazing. I am a self-taught graphic designer, learning all the adobe products over 15 years ago. I've always stayed up-to-date with learning, but never expanded to After Effects. I learned more than I thought I would in this 8-week course. It is no joke though, be sure you have a lot of time to spend, especially in the first 2-3 weeks and then you get a bit of a break to catch-up and then weeks 5-6 are intense again. But, you will absolutely learn the basics and then some. I also loved the classroom interface and just the quality content in general. I highly recommend this course.

Absolutely amazing course. My skills have leapfrogged from where they were a couple of months ago, just from absorbing and applying all the instruction from these videos. The assignments challenge not just your new technical abilities, but your inherent creative ones, as well. The instruction is always framed in incredibly useful, real-world scenarios like being tasked with delivering work that adheres to a creative brief. There are also Teaching Assistants who you can reach out to and get your technical questions answered, as well as a Facebook-like community forum, in which you can see not only your class' assignments, but the other Cinema4D class' work as well. You can post your own work and get feedback from the group... It's awesome. My only complaint is that the videos were all made 4 yrs ago in an earlier version of C4D that in some instances is QUITE different from the latest version, which is all I have ever known. I personally think it would be awesome if they would lightly revise all the videos to include the new version's terminology - especially while you're trying to learn complicated concepts that are brand new to you - but that is just one little negative aspect, of a course that overall I would HIGHLY RECOMMEND.

I have taken three courses from School of Motion and every class has been excellent and I will be signing up for more. The instructors are the best, the course content, exercises and resources are excellent. In addition to the courses, classmates and surrounding community are collectively very knowledgeable, supportive and overall invaluable. If you're serious about skilling up, I can't recommend School of Motion enough.

This was an excellent course for learning the fundamentals of Cinema 4D. It paired well with the Intro to Animation course I took previously, as I was able to apply the techniques of animation to the C4D. I found the lessons clear and reasonably paced so that I didn't have to absorb too many new ideas or practices at once. I especially was grateful for the help of my TA, who gave me detailed feedback and answered many questions I had. My only criticism is that the lessons were done in an older version of C4D, so it requires additional time tracking down where a function or button it in the newer version.

Highly recommended!! I'm an industry animator who has animated plenty of motion graphics, but rarely designed them. This course has finally helped me feel more comfortable in making design decisions, whereas before, the idea of a blank canvas was daunting. The assignments are structured like client real pitches, so it feels like an actual job, which I appreciated at this stage in my career. You get a chance to revise projects too, which is equally important because when dealing with a real client it's an inevitable part of the process. Fair warning, you need to devote a lot of time to the video lectures and projects to get the most out of them. It also helps to have a good grasp of Photoshop and Illustrator beforehand so you're not dealing with technical issues alongside creative ones. But it's all worth it in the end!
