DO NOT APPLY FOR SHEELS CREDIT CARD!!!! I shopped on their site for the first time, was going to make a big purchase in excess of $500. They had a promo where if you applied for the card, you got a $75 gift card which you could use on your order "if approved instantly". They even showed the reduced price net of the e-gift card to drive the point home. I do not need another credit card, and I sure don't want the credit score hit for applying, but for the savings, I thought in this case I would. My credit score is WELL north of 800. But when I applied online I got a message that said I would get "written status of my application within 2-4 weeks". This was a total bait and switch and in my opinion, a straight up scam to get individuals to apply for their card. Will not shop with this company and will cancel card when (and if) received. I should have known better, but let my lesson prevent you from falling into their scam.

The representative was helpful in detailing the situation and talking with me. However Scheels is absolutely horrible to deal with. I ordered a case of .410 ammo given a delivery date and had a charge on my card, only for a WEEK later 1 day before the delivery date I get an email cancelling my order because now they were out of stock. Not out of stock when I ordered it, out of stock when a WEEK LATER, they finally bothered to try and ship it. They didn’t give me a credit they didn’t reorder it, they said it sucks we can’t do anything for you. I would never shop here after this experience.

The manager was racist. Called me a racial slur. Blayne. Do not shop here if you’re black. They don’t want your business.

I placed an order on Scheels for two pairs of shoes. It was quite expensive but I trusted Scheels. I waited 2 weeks and my package was still not delivered. I eventually emailed them regarding the situation and I did not get any help as they were not willing to contact USPS to find my order. They have not helped me with anything. All I want is what I paid for or at least a refund. I would not purchase from them again and will recommend no one does.

Hey Dudes don’t come in a box or with anything to keep their shape. They are but in a bag and tossed on the truck. Mine came pretty mushed up. Oh well, lesson learned.

Two years ago I brought my Mathews bow in to have a new string and cables put on and when I went to pick it up the bow was at 80 pounds. This is a 60 pound maximum bow so they did something completely wrong putting it together. Second time I picked it up it shot OK but after two years I noticed weird wear on the edge of one of the cables. Upon inspection the cam looks crooked so I took it in and they could not figure it out. They said they were sending it to Mathews for them to look at it. I picked it up today and there were new limbs on the bow and I thanked them and took it home. After looking at the bow closely the cam is still as crooked as when I took it there the last time and they did not fix the problem. They are supposed to be bow techs for Mathews and so far I am not impressed. I will be going in now again to see if they can get it right. When I go the the Scheels website I see words used like excellence and expert but I have not experienced any of these attributes when dealing with their service department yet. I have shot this bow 23 years and did not experience any of these problems until I started dealing with Scheels bow tech people.
