I don't know why they have this rating. My experience so far has been great! After being "filtered" by the competitor H******, who banned/deleted my account for 'suspicious activity', with no appeal, I looked for alternatives. Claude suggested Scaleway. I created an account, verified my ID, created a ticket for a quota increase on a Sunday morning(!). Received a HUMAN reply instantly, being asked what my needs were. I explained I needed compute, in bursts, billed by the hour. The agent told me he forwarded my request to the risk team. Within a couple of hours my quota increase was silently approved (might have been earlier, but I didn't check). And now I have two EPYC 4005's running the compute I need. Here's an AI generated summary of my experience: "Sixteen dedicated Zen 5 cores at €0.55/h: roughly twice my desktop's throughput, 4-5× a 96-vCPU G***** Cloud n2d costing triple, and ~4× the H****** shared-vCPU boxes I used before. Scaleway provisioned in half an hour, bills hourly, and nobody panicked at the sight of a busy CPU."

I’ve had a very positive experience with Scaleway so far. What impressed me most is how easy everything is to access, understand, and configure. The platform feels clean and developer-friendly, and the documentation is genuinely useful — not just basic marketing text, but practical guides, tutorials, API references, and troubleshooting material that make it much easier to get things done. Scaleway offers a strong range of cloud services, including compute instances, Kubernetes, storage, managed databases, serverless options, networking, and more, but the experience still feels approachable and well organized. I was able to find what I needed quickly, understand the available options, and configure services without unnecessary complexity. For me, the biggest strengths are the clear documentation, simple setup process, good product coverage, and overall ease of use. It feels like a cloud platform built with developers and technical users in mind. Very satisfied so far and happy to recommend Scaleway.

Scaleway deserves a better rating, period. My experience has been the exact opposite of what the negative reviews claim. They offer great services and solutions within a brilliantly designed and flexible cloud platform. A modern and intuitive user interface and convenient monitoring via Grafana dashboards. I'm just on the basic support plan, but when I needed customer service support deploying a container, it was handled excellently and resolved the very same day. In short, I have nothing negative to say about Scaleway so far, and I believe the current low rating is unfair.

cheap and fine, network is faster than advertised

Scaleway propose des serveurs bare metal super fluides. L’accès est rapide, et le redémarrage quotidien ne prend que quelques secondes, ce qui est extrêmement pratique. I've used Scaleway's mac-minis over three long extended periods (and continue to maintain my account, using it as and when needed): 1. Back in 2023 when my development macOS was outdated (for mobile development), and I needed a development machine urgently. 2. After that, my organisation (not my account) needed a macOS CI machine for a while (while setting up our GitHub and expo runners), and again, Scaleway came to the rescue, and 3. Recently, in 2025, when I had foolishly upgraded my macOS to 26, and reverting the OS was no easy task, and I had to urgently fix some production crashes (the toolchain was not working on Xcode 26), and i spun up a Sequioa mac-mini in less than 5 minutes, and got the production crashes fixed in no time. Scaleway has been nothing short of a lifesaver for me: * Beautiful, intuitive, and elegant website * Easy to spin up instances in a jiffy * No redtape: spin up an instance -> use it -> check your usage and live billing as you go * When you're done, delete the instance - no muss, no fuss. * Billing is also very reasonable in my humble opinion * Top class support even as an individual: the support is prompt, professional, and most importantly, helpful! I'm personally 100% satisfied with their excellent service! Highly recommended.

I have never had any problems with Scaleway. This has been the case for a long time. Although I only use Object Storage, the service is reliable. It works as it should. The data is simply there, and I have never encountered any problems retrieving it. And most importantly... Scaleway is not affiliated with the US.

3/5 réel. Vraiment correct. Infrastructure kubernetes big data qui opère chez eux depuis 2-3 ans sans problème majeur. Certains services sont peut être inégaux, mais dans l'ensemble c'est une entreprise propre. Le support n'est pas catastrophique. Ils sont très réactifs.
