It took way too long. Costs were at least DOUBLE. The positive was that my house was not needed for collateral.

Thank you for your review. I would like to point out that your application was held up due to the government shutdown and not because of anything we had control over. We were unable to close yours and many other client's loans because the SBA was shutdown. This created a backlog to which we did and continue to do whatever we can to clear up. With respect to our fees, we disclosed the fees to you at the time of approval and the fees remained the same. We charge the same fees for all our loans and they are a percentage of the amount you borrow. The program does not allow us to change the set fees.

As long as you get your documents to them quickly, the process is fairly quick & easy. It was about 8 weeks total for my loan to go through. The downside is that there are significant fees from their brokerage which is normal, but it is important that the borrower understand them in advance. Another odd thing that happened at my closing is that my loan came back for $50K vs the $100K that I was told I was approved for. Even the closing loan officer didn't know that this had happened. I had to reach out to him to ask him what was up. While I realize it is totally based on factors related to my viability, I think this should have been disclosed much earlier in the process for my business planning purposes.
