Buyer's Remorse
I am a hobbiest, and do not fabricate for a living. All I can say is that I wish that I had bought a good metal chop saw, instead. After limited use, my Trajan 125 saw is dead, and my also blade snapped. It worked ok while it did, but cutting is slow, but good. Compared to a good metal chop saw such as an Evolution, the Trajan is very slow. Sure, the Trajan band saw is quieter and throws less metal, but that's the only advantage that I see. A good chop saw cuts very clean and fast. If you're a fabricator, the chop saw makes more sense. Plus, you can get WAY more cuts out of chop saw blade before it fails you. Not so with a band saw. I learned this the hard and expensive way. Finally, there are very few useful online videos on the Trajan 125; not even a video showing you how to change a blade. You just have to figure it out, yourself. This tells me that there aren't a lot of real users out there. Most probably have a chop saw or are modifying/re-engineering some Harbor Freight junk. Sometimes, I think I should have just went with the Harbor Freight junk; at least I would expect it to fall apart before its time.
