For those of us who are inundated with email these days (read: everyone), SaneBox is a very useful service for helping one maintain her or his sanity. I've been using SaneBox for about nine months, and it it has helped me tame my Inbox by separating the wheat from the chat. It isn't totally automatic and takes some time to train, but it is a time-saver once you train it. If you need a helping-hand from Tech Support, you can't beat it. Your inquiry is answered quickly and followed up promptly until your issue is resolved. All-in-all, a terrific company and service. BTW, if you receive an email from the President of the company, reply to it if you like because it isn't computer generated. You will receive a prompt and personal reply from him. That blew me away the first time it happened, and even the second time recently.

I used to get HUNDREDS of emails a day and felt the need to constantly monitor my emails. I’d flag them, move them into different folders, etc., but important emails still got lost in the shuffle. I started using Sanebox on a 2 week trial about a year ago and was at first a bit skeptical (how was this program going to know what emails were important to me?), but after only a few days, I was hooked; I was getting my life back instead of being glued to my email! The sanebox filtering works and I get the important emails in my inbox for follow up and I can review the @sanelater folder when time permits. I also take advantage of the sane reminders that pop up in my inbox on a schedule I choose rather than having to remember to go to a follow up folder and am also now using the @SaneNoReplies folder to monitor that I receive responses from sent emails. In the beginning, I was saving at least 10 hours a week and even now that my email volume has decreased, I’m still saving several hours a week. I use Sanebox on both my work and personal email accounts and I must say, the sanity I’ve gained far outweighs the minimal cost for the service. Before Sanebox I would waste several minutes every hour sorting through a sea of emails looking for anything that needed my attention. Extremely easy to use and after a simple a quick setup period to train the filters, I trust it completely. It massively simplified my inbox and let me concentrate on just the important emails. Having a regular update email letting me know the emails it's removed from my inbox gives me an extra layer of confidence that I'll never miss an important email.
