Response from Sanborn's Mexico InsuranceJul 9, 2026
Thank you for providing your feedback and sharing your experience. We take accident reports seriously and want to clarify the timeline and process from the official record to help address what occurred. When an accident is reported, the insurance company dispatches an adjuster to the scene to assist the customer and assess the vehicle damage. According to their claims log, the report was received at 5:38 PM, an adjuster was assigned at 5:48 PM, and the adjuster arrived at the scene at 6:24 PM—less than an hour after the initial call. Unfortunately, because contact could not be established with you and you had already left the scene, the adjuster was unable to complete the required inspection. Additionally, because Sanborn's Mexican Insurance is the agent, all aspects of the claim in Mexico, including the adjustment, any legal requirements, etc., are handled directly by the domestic Mexican insurance company underwriting the policy. Once reported to the Mexico insurance company and back in the U.S. for repairs, they work with a U.S. company to process the claim. This is the standard legal structure for Mexico insurance, which is why our McAllen headquarters team directed you to the claims processing department to assist you. If you would like to discuss this further or review your file details, we invite you to continue your communication with Sanborn's HQ by emailing us directly at [email protected]. We apologize for any breakdown in communication or misunderstanding of the claims process during a stressful situation, and we wish you safe future travels.
