This is a fraud company. the instructors are rude, unprofessional and always in a rush. I lost 240 dollars on 2 children before I finally realized that they only care about money. My first child failed because he didn't pass a truck while merging on an "on ramp". My second child failed after hitting a cone, but then the instructor refused to finish the test. Just said, You failed. try again tomorrow, and took our 80 bucks. so they company made 80 dollars in 3 minutes. Total scam.

Never do your road test at this location! If you are a young driver they will make you feel yourself anxious and miserable, they will put you under pressure, they will yell at you and then they will fail you on any small thing. Totally disrespectful approach, nobody cares about anything but money. And they will get it anyway! If you will fail - they will get more money on retesting. Most ridiculous part that examiner can ask you to do illegal maneuvers - such as going on flashing yellow at intersection or speeding over posted limit but if you do it yourself then - they will fail you. This place should be inspected by MDOS ASAP, something shady is going on there.

My son took two road tests at the Lansing location. Prior to doing the parking test, he was given no information about how it is scored and what he could lose points for (the other company we ended up going with for his third try showed him a nice video explaining all of this). He did not pass the parking portion. The second time, he knew more about how the parking is scored and did fine on that part. For the road portion of the test, the evaluator was quite abrupt and unfriendly. She had him driving in a very busy and confusing area with a lot of one-way streets and lane closures due to road construction (as if trying to make it as difficult as possible). She ended the test early and claimed he failed because he went straight from a left turn lane. I was in the car and paying close attention, and neither my son nor I saw him do anything like this. I went back and drove the same route myself several times the next day, and I could not find one spot where his supposed "violation" would have even been possible. We asked for, but have not received, a written report and details about the specific location she claimed this happened. We have not even gotten a call back after filing a complaint. We ended up scheduling a road test with a different company, had a friendly and helpful evaluator, and he passed with flying colors. I would NOT do a road test with Same Day Road Test.

The driving instructor just showed up and was extremely rude and unapologetic for being 30 minutes late. She informed me “there’s nothing I can do” about being so late. Try All Star driving. It’s a much better company than this.

Just took my son today and he had a test with Candace at 10:00 am. She took him behind the building and did a cone test. . . he hit a cone and she failed him and would not continue with the driving portion of the test! This is ridiculous! I have other children who tested at Allstar and ran over cones and still did the road test and passed. For $129 this place is a scam and should be called "30 second parking lot test". DO NOT TEST HERE!

This complaint is for the Ann Arbor, MI branch, but they are all the same company. My daughter was scheduled for her test today. She arrived on time and went to the testing area. She was never told she had to go check in inside a building anywhere. The lady with the clipboard was talking to someone else for approximately 20 minutes. When my daughter finally was able to talk to her, the lady was rude and condescending and said that she could not test because she was late – because she didn’t check in – because she WASN’T told she was supposed to check in. They told her that they “forgot” to send her the email explaining how and when to check in. The employees saw her standing there that entire time and ignored her. She tried to resolve it by asking if she could still test – the facility DOES offer walk-ins, so there should be no reason to tell her no. They were rude to her and sent her away telling her to “take it up with the main company.” They told her she’d lost her $100 and they could reschedule her for an additional $30 but not same day. So now they basically want $130 for a test she hasn’t had the opportunity to have. They’ve now kept $100 for services never rendered. They need to refund my daughter’s money.
