Douglas Spotted E.
The motor that arrived was the correct on, and that was the ONLY good thing in the transaction.
The motor that arrived was the correct motor, so let's work backwards. Let's start with "They do not take phone calls." Period. They claim they offer better customer service. Lawdy, I'd hate to see how much worse it can get. Their website showed two products, same look, mount, SKU. With $80.00 difference. I emailed, Specifically asking which was the correct part, correct price, in addition to; - Is it in stock - when would it ship once ordered - how would it ship/ETA to my zipcode - what is the return policy? In answer I got: "Yes, it's in stock. Just add to your cart and hit "order." So, I sent nearly the same email, and got back a snarky "Our returns policy is on our website. It will ship two days after your order is received." So I emailed again with the rest of my questions (again). This time the response was even more snarky about me "not receiving their emails." In short, it's apparently MY fault they're not answering specific questions. They do not provide refunds for returns; it's "credit on account" only. So if you bought the wrong part, or if it was defective and you found it elsewhere meanwhile; you're stuck with them holding hundreds of your dollars. They did finally admit the website error and changed it, but I was thinking they're probably not the best people, so I screenshotted it all. I strongly recommend finding other sources, as there is no: - Returns for refund - Phone number for questions - Efficient/Effective people answering their emails. In addition, when it's 111 in Las Vegas, we're kinda interested in FAST answers. Not End of Day answers when it's too late to order the product, costing at least an additional two days in wait time.
Response from RV Products Shop LLCOct 2, 2026
If you look at Douglas Spotted Eagle's review history, you will notice a trend. He seems to be unpleasable. Every one of his questions and concerns were addressed by us (me in this case). His questions "1468C3389 | Coleman-Mach Evaporator Fan Motor for Mach 8 AC/HP Do you have this in stock? Your website indicates you do. Please give instructions for order, return policy, and time to ship. Thank you" was directly and promptly replied within 10 minutes with the following reply: "We do. Just add it to your cart, create an account and continue with the payment during the checkout process!" Unfortunately it appears I did INITIALLY miss his question about the return policy. That was unintentional, and I am human (not AI) afterall. His next email to us pointed out an inconsistency where two product listings for the same item were on the site with two different prices. As the customer stated in his review here, this was promptly taken care of. I responded to this email 4 minutes after he sent it with the following reply: "They are both the same, but one listing is an older listing. I will remove the incorrect one. The current one can be found here: https://REDACTED On average these have been arriving between 2-4 business days after the order is placed. Let me know if you have any other questions or concerns! Thanks, Derek" His next email he seems to start getting a little upset and possibly offended that we do not have a phone contact option (we do this specifically for reasons like this so both us and our customers can have a clear and accurate record of communications. This was his next reply: "I get why you all don't take phone calls, but if you're not going to fully respond...? I'd have ordered 2 hours ago if you'd answer the price question which also includes a screenshot. Further, I asked about return if you send me the wrong part. That's happened a few times in the past decade or two. I don't want to be stuck with an unusable part. So: 1. Which of the two listed is the correct one, since there are two at different prices, same part number. 2. Return policy in the event it isn't the right part? Especially given there are TWO units at different prices, but same part number? Thank you!" As you can see, I already responded and answered his question regarding the two different parts. As I initially missed his questions about the return policy on his first email, I can see why he would readdress that. He sent this email at 6:35 PM central time (after the business hours listed on our contact page) After business hours (8PM Central time), after returning home, I took the time to answer the missed question regarding the return policy, where I linked him directly to the return policy on the site. To recap, I answered (very promptly) all of his questions, but admittedly I missed one that I later addressed after business hours. I have record of all communications to/from this customer from our ticketing system if it is needed by any additional parties. I apologize I initially missed one of your questions about the return policy and I'm sorry that this had upset you so much! I wish you all the best and I hope that the streak of how you seem to treat small businesses (based on seeing your review history) ends up being a little more on the understanding human side of things! -Derek
