Shady ethics
Just going on record here… got really excited about this credenza I found on The Rush Market’s site for $436.99 that they *claimed* was worth $622. Then I did a little digging and found the EXACT PIECE at The Home Depot for $449.81 BRAND NEW. So they’re marking up the “compare at” prices so that they can charge close to the brand new price for opened (and sometimes damaged) items they’re probably receiving for pennies from the warehouses themselves ???? Aka, lying and stealing. Things my 3-year-old knows are wrong. Shady, shady, shady. So unethical and gross. Just honestly makes me sad, as someone who believes wholeheartedly in the sustainability of second-hand.
