The model is great but not all coaches are worth the cost
The model is great. I enjoyed the coaching from Mark and I really found a new level to my running when I worked with him, including running the Boston marathon! Unfortunately he retired and I was placed with a new coach, Sean. I ran a half marathon and PRd. However, in working with him, I ended up with a hamstring injury. It took months for him to acknowledge my comments about it, and even then, my runs were not adjusted in a way that I felt addressed the injury. After eight months, I completed a second race under Sean. He seemed disengaged with me, unlike my husband, who was also training under him. Despite paying for the top tier, I never received a race plan. Days after the race, I realized I had seriously reinjured my hamstring. While I don’t expect a coach to be medically trained, the lack of acknowledgment and the overall lack of engagement caused me to end my training with Sean. I have found a new running coach who was able work with me on my goals and with my injury, and I just PRd in Chicago last weekend.

Thanks for sharing your honest feedback, Brynn. I’m so glad to hear our coaches helped you achieve a Boston Qualifier and a new Half Marathon PR — that’s an incredible accomplishment! I’m sorry we fell short when it came to supporting you through your injury. You deserve better than that, and feedback like this helps our coaches learn and continue improving the athlete experience. If you ever decide to give us another shot, please don’t hesitate to reach out and ask for Jordan, our owner. He’d be more than happy to personally ensure you’re matched with the right coach for your next race.
