The ordering process was a little clumsy, but at the end of the day, I got what I was looking for. Customer Service was top notch, very friendly. Even got a call apologizing for sending the wrong item (got a roof base, but didnt order it). Oh and my cats loved the enormous box the vent shipped in, so that was a good thing too!

Quick delivery and easy install. So far they don't seem to lower the temp much however and they are noisy when it rains so you may want to spray bed liner on the units.

i bought of pair of Active Vent retrofits -- 13-15 Years ago (!) to replace those useless turbine spinners -- i noticed brown spots on my ceiling - surprised to discover they were letting in rain and they were in good shape and spun fairly fast. i just took out the spinners - fit these retrofits in - they fit just right - fastened the standing vent pipe with some galvanized screws - easy peasy. Fast forward to 2019 - they still look great although the label has faded from being exposed to the sun - They do not let the rain in - and i live in the NYC area which saw back to back hurricanes - Irene in 2011 and the devastating Hurricane Sandy 2012. These retrofit vents will prob out last me.

I ordered a vent cap to be painted. I received an unpainted one. Upon notification active ventilation immediately refunded my money. Sometimes it goes wrong but they made it right. That is my kind of company.
