Rogue Amoeba SoftwareReviews of rogueamoeba.com

I've purchased Rogue Amoeba's SoundSource 5 app and it is amazing! I know some people complain the price is too high, but quite honestly guys, you can't have everything for free! Go build one yourself to understand why the pricing. Now for the app itself - super clear user interface and slick design, full of functionalities and controls. And the Super Volume Keys is top notch. I have tried quite a few other solutions out there, some of them open source, others paid ... none of them is as reliable as SoundSource. Well done Rogue Amoeba team!

Downloaded their SoundSource app to my Macbook Air, after using it for half a day I now have to upgrade to premium for 50$! If the homepage had said ''you can use this app for 5 hours then it will cost 50$ and or be turned off'', I highly doubt I would have downloaded it Thanks for wasting my time. Also 50$ to control the volume on my computer, lol!

its a good website but very high prices I want free apps without trial

Bit depth is not 1:1 no matter how you sample, so you’re pretty much squeezing and re-stretching each sample to get back to peak of 0db, which is loss in quality for ALL system audio — trash and not worth the money until fixed, its like watching 4k on 3.9k and stretching back to 4k, you lose sharpness and anti-aliasing blurs everything, so stupid

Great software - super slick interfaces, and the underlying tech seems pretty rock solid too. Add to that, lightning fast support from genuinely helpful people. This is the kind of tech company that others should aspire to.

you guys are nuts! the trial mode lasted 20 minute or less! WFT!

Tried out this program as trial and noticed the noisy sound from my speakers, so I decided to purchase it. The only minus is that the charge from my country is a bit high, but I bought it anyway. It's an action I do not regret at all! The interface of the program is smooth and very, very simple. Choose what you want to stream from, for instance spotify and after what you want to stream to. And besides that you can stream to more than 1 unit. That is just awesome. The music is great quality and now I don't need iTunes to stream via Airplay. Nice software and definitely worth the price!

I wanted to purchase Airfoil, but when i got to the payment site I noticed that it said 152.92 DKR which is an increase of 3% from the current exchanges rate. On top of this they add VAT as well which made the price so high that I didn't buy it.
