Please do not take this course!
After reading the response from RMC, I have updated my review comments with some additional information. Cost: 1. To begin, this course is probably the most expensive course in the market (more than $2000 Canadian Dollars). 2. Take similar courses in the industry for less than half of this money. The only thing what RMC has is the reputation created by legendary Rita Mulcahy. 3. I had taken 4 days of leave of absence from the work to attend this course. Loss of income with no benefit. Course Comparison: 1. This 4 days course was mere waste as the instructor was reading from some notes. Instructor’s video was always off. Why? 2. The instructor had very strong accent, but I would not blame her a bit. How to overcome this problem according to PMI? Answer is simple, have face to face interaction, and the level of understanding will improve tremendously. 3. Why do RMC assure candidates that they will pass after taking this exam? I noticed that content has been deleted from the website now. Course material: 1. The course material is outdated! I didn’t know that while I was taking the course. But luckily, before taking the exam, I read lot of reviews from the people passed the exam and understood that the syllabus has changed a lot. What RMC teach is mostly Traditional! The exam content is more than 80% agile. RMC’s review below is stating they have improved the course content now. Buy why now? It is too late for a person like me. 2. I managed to pass the exam with above target score in all the three domains, but that is with the help of other courses and videos which costed fraction of this course. And some amazing free videos are available on YouTube also. 3. The mock exam was overly complicated and is not like the actual exam. As a matter of fact, it was not at all like the actual exam. 4. Some simple techniques such as elimination techniques are not taught properly during the course. 5. The exercises were outdated. Very good material to understand Project Management, but not for passing the course 6. The book is full of formulas etc, and PMP exam has very few (one or two questions) with these formulas. Other points: 1. In your response to my review, you had mentioned, ‘we would have provided you more experienced mentor for me’. But why? Why can’t you provide that service to more than 20 people in the class during the course and save everyone’s time? 2. All aspiring PMs, before appearing for the exam, please read reviews of the people who passed the exam recently and decide what courses or study material one should purchase.
