I am writing this review because I have not received any response from ResumeBird regarding my refund request.
I was charged JPY 7,100 for an automatic subscription renewal on September 6, 2026. I did not intend to renew the subscription, and I have not used the service since the renewal.
I immediately cancelled my subscription and contacted ResumeBird by email to request a refund.
I sent my first refund request on September 18, 2026, and sent a follow-up email afterward because I received no response. As of September 22, I have still received no response regarding my refund request.
I am asking ResumeBird that this was an unintended renewal and I have not used the service after the renewal.
I would appreciate a response from ResumeBird and a review of my refund request.
I am posting this review simply to document my experience and to ask ResumeBird to response to my case.

Please Review ResumeBird’s Renewal and Refund Terms Before Subscribing
Please review ResumeBird’s automatic renewal, cancellation, and refund terms carefully before using the service.
I used ResumeBird for a temporary document-related task and signed up for the free trial. I entered my payment information as part of the trial process, but I did not intend to continue using the service as a paid subscription.
After the free trial ended, I was automatically charged KRW 59,000 on September 6, 2026 for the subscription.
After noticing the charge, I contacted customer support to request both cancellation of my subscription and a refund. My subscription was subsequently canceled, and I received confirmation that I would not be charged again. However, my refund request was not approved.
I then asked whether a partial refund reflecting the unused portion of the subscription could be considered if a full refund was not possible. I also explained that I had not intended to continue the paid subscription and asked whether my case could be reviewed as a one-time exception.
Ultimately, ResumeBird informed me that its refund policy applies to renewed subscriptions and that they were unable to process a refund once the subscription had renewed. In my case, neither the full refund nor the partial refund I requested was approved.
One aspect of the experience that I found disappointing was the customer support process. The responses I received focused primarily on the fact that I had entered my payment information when signing up and on the automatic-renewal and refund terms.
I understood that these policies existed. What I was trying to find out was whether my individual circumstances could be considered as an exception. I understand that policies need to be applied consistently, but I would have appreciated a little more flexibility in considering my individual circumstances.
I received a response approximately four days after my initial email. During that time, I was uncertain about the status of both my cancellation and refund request, which I personally found stressful.
I also found the cancellation process somewhat inconvenient. In my experience, I did not see an immediate self-service cancellation option within my account, so I contacted customer support by email and waited for confirmation that the cancellation had been completed.
Because the service automatically converts from a free trial to a paid subscription, I recommend that anyone considering ResumeBird carefully check the renewal date, refund terms, and cancellation process before entering payment information.
I recognize that I entered my payment information during the trial and that ResumeBird has its own subscription and refund policies. However, after asking about both a one-time exception and a partial refund and not receiving the resolution I had hoped for, I was ultimately disappointed with the overall refund and cancellation experience.
Because of this experience, I do not plan to use ResumeBird again or recommend it to people I know.
I am sharing my experience so that other users can make an informed decision before subscribing. If you use the free trial, I recommend setting your own reminder before the renewal date and checking your subscription status before the trial ends.
Most importantly, do not assume that a renewal will necessarily be refundable. In my case, both my full-refund request and my request for a partial refund were declined.

⚠️ Be very careful with ResumeBird's…
⚠️ Be very careful with ResumeBird's automatic subscription renewal.
I initially subscribed to ResumeBird because I needed the service for a short period. I did not intend to continue the subscription.
However, on September 14, 2026, ResumeBird automatically charged me **JPY 7,100** for a renewal. I was not expecting this charge and, as far as my experience was concerned, I did not receive an advance reminder before the payment was taken.
As soon as I noticed the charge, I contacted ResumeBird, cancelled the subscription, and requested a refund. Their response was that the transaction was not eligible for a refund under their refund policy.
I contacted them again and explained that I had no intention of continuing the subscription and that an advance notification before charging JPY 7,100 would have allowed me to cancel beforehand. I asked them to reconsider the refund.
Instead, I received essentially the same response again:
> “This decision is final.”
The frustrating part is that their support responses were extremely generic and did not actually address my concern about why there was no advance renewal notification. I repeatedly explained my situation, but the response was simply that their refund policy did not allow a refund.
**JPY 7,100 may not seem like much to a company, but it is my hard-earned money.** Having that amount automatically taken from my account for a subscription I did not intend to continue is extremely upsetting.
My advice to anyone considering ResumeBird: **read the subscription and automatic-renewal terms very carefully and set your own reminder before the renewal date.** Do not assume that you will receive a reminder before being charged, and do not assume that an accidental renewal will be refunded.
