Hi Hank, We're glad you found the deals on Restaurant.com to be a great bargain and that our customer service was friendly and helpful! We're sorry to hear you're having issues with some restaurants not honoring your certificate as well as issues with the mobile app. While we try to optimize for every phone model and all browser versions, occasionally there are devices or software versions that are outdated and that can cause an unstable app experience. In cases like this, our technology team recommends deleting the app and then reinstalling it. That usually fixes any issues. Also, be sure that your phone's operating system is up to date and that you are using one of the top 3 browsers: Safari, Chrome, and Firefox. We’re currently working to improve the app experience; we recommend using our mobile-friendly website at restaurant.com. It includes all the same features and works well across most devices and browsers.

We understand how frustrating it is when a location unexpectedly won’t accept a certificate. Restaurants do agree to participate in our program, but occasionally they leave without notifying us or updating their staff. We’re actively working to improve how we track and update listings to prevent this kind of issue; and we just rolled out new technology to our restaurant partners to address this. Just a quick reminder—your points never expire, and you can exchange any unused certificate at any time if something doesn’t work out. And you can do that right from the website - no need to involve customer service. Thanks again for your feedback—it helps us continue to improve.

Hi Richard, Thanks for your review—and we totally understand the confusion. When we updated our system, all unused certificates were automatically converted into points of equal value. This gives you more flexibility to redeem for higher-value deals and for other types of offers we may add in the future. And just to reassure you, your points never expire, and you can exchange certificates anytime if a restaurant isn’t currently participating. Hi Jon, Thanks for your thoughtful review—we really appreciate you sharing how you're using the program and where things could be improved. We understand it can be disappointing when there aren’t more options nearby, especially when you know there are great restaurants in the area. We’re actively working on expanding our network to help with that. We also know some restaurants still require printed certificates, though many now accept digital versions. And you're right—certificates need to be shown at the time of service (either printed or digitally), which usually means they can't be applied during online checkout or ahead of time. The reason for that is tied to the various POS systems in use across thousands of restaurants nationwide. Our discounts are not currently integrated with POS systems but it's a great idea for future redemption options! Just a reminder: your points never expire, and you can exchange certificates anytime, so they don’t have to sit unused.
