They are dodging their main issue: Giving back credits to the customers who's account they have closed without warning or compensation. Legal action will need to be taken if anybody cares about this 10th rate site.
Here are some records:

They deactivated my accounts and stole…
They deactivated my accounts and stole my certificates. I had an account with $250 in certificates. When my login did not work, I contacted customer support. They told me my account never existed. I had years of emails from them and I showed them the printed certificates associated to the account. Customer support stopped responding at that point.
I had one additional account associated to an older email of mine. Most of the certificates on that account were gone. In 2023, I had 17 certificates. In 2024, I had 3. I still had $75 (3x$25) left for a Mexican restaurant that I liked. When I went to the restaurant, they told me they don't take Restaurant.com coupons. Per the coupon, you have to spend over $50 to get $25 off. The restaurant is listed on the site still and it was a recent coupon print prior to going to the restaurant.
Do not trust this business. In the early days, it offered a good service. Today, it is a scam.

Complete Waste
I received 2 $25 (total $50) vouchers for restaurant.com. Everywhere I go, I pull up a local list of restaurants that take these vouchers and nothing, or, you have to spend double to triple in the locale in order to get the discount. Since I am 1 person, this doesn't work. I have recently logged into their website and my dollar amount vouchers have now converted to a point system which is nowhere near a dollar value amount. This is worthless. And now they have uploaded all these chain restaurant photos into the website, teasing you that these restaurants participate, but they don't. Horrible company. They need to be investigated by the attorney general and all monies returned to the customers.

Bad Credentials and Balance Gone?
I have used Restaurant.com in past years without an issue although I haven't used them lately because many restaurants don't accept their certificates anymore. I was getting emails from them reminding me to use my balance. I tried logging into my account today and when I tried their site said that my login credentials were wrong. I then tried to reset my password and was successful but my balance was gone. I Googled for info and found this site and read all the other reviews. My balance lost wasn't very much compared to other people who wrote reviews but after reading the other reviews I'm sure I won't be using them anymore.

I had the app for a long time but never used it. I had an account and an available gift card. Now the website and app both say I do not have an account. No response to my email as of yet. I read online that the owner just purchased another company. Maybe they are having trouble integrating? My brother used the site long ago and had a good experience. I just couldn't find a restaurant I liked.

5 Stars??? Buyer BEWARE!!
I would give Restaurant.com 5 stars, but nobody would read this review.
This is in answer to all the misinformed and lack of experienced people that keep posting COMPLAINTS. Restaurant.com does work, and works well, if you just try a little. From several years of experience I'll try to help you here.
First, I've been using them for over 20 years and I am NOT connected with them in any way.
The company never professes to be for all restaurant. Their main clientele are small, newly opened, mom-and-pop eateries with a few larger ones that understand some basic principles of marketing (discounts to get you in the door). In fact, they have no control over the restrictions some restaurants require. Their sole ability is to offer someone else's (the restaurant's) marketing process in a slightly better organized way with greater spread and visibility.
As for us, the users, we have to try a little harder to work within the system. Let's say you received a wonderful certificate and want to eat at your favorite restaurant. Nope, doesn't work that way.
1. Go to their website.
2. Plug in your zip code.
3. Select how much distance you're willing to drive.
4. Review all the selection.
Now for the important part.
5. Each independent restaurant dictates the terms of use, not restaurant.com
a. Specific days may be required (i.e. week days before 5:00 pm)
b. Specific minimum purchase may be required (normal)
c. Some specific items may be included or restricted (like alcohol)
d. READ THE CERTIFICATE!!
Next critical step.
6. Call the restaurant to verify they are accepting them and the details on the certificate.
7. Ask specifically how the handle the certificates (a manager may be necessary when you are there).
NOW, you can purchase the certificate.
8. The order page is a little unclear. It shows a cash charge.
9. Click on the checkout button on that first page.
10. On the second page, click and process the order as points, not cash.
11. Finish your order.
12. Print out the certificate for your proof of purchase.
13. Enjoy the restaurant knowing you've met all the requirements.
14. If you don't or can't use it, go back to the site and Exchange it back to point for reuse.
I even give appreciated gifts of certificates. I tell the beneficiary the choice of restaurants in their area AND the probable restrictions they may face. Then I don't give them the points, I buy and give them the actual restaurant certificate they chose.
Hope this helps.

pure scam
If there are no star, I would give no star at all. Restaurant.com is a pure scam. I bought $200 worth of points during year 2020. When COVID hit, no restaurant accepted any of these vouchers. After COVID was over, I searched restaurants that were willing to redeem the points. Most of the restaurants which signed up were business closed down already. They claimed that the vouchers never expired, now I signed in again, they don't recognize my username and password. It a pure scam.
