Beware of Bogus Return Policy & Corporate Grift
Rest touts their "easy" return policy but reality says otherwise. Follow the prompts to facilitate a return and BEFORE the return is processed or refund is granted they have a customer satisfaction survey. Yes, the prompts were easy, but where the hell is the return?! This gives customers false data regarding returns. Rest promises a 48-hour response. I am going on day 7 and still waiting. I sent 3 messages, and while, the first was a pat fake-apology dismissal from Timothy, a suspected AI agent, about "my frustrations" and "my patience," and "making mine a priority" with return team. Since zip, nadda, zilch, nothing. Answers to the following two emails - crickets. ** ALSO NOTE - I RECIEVED NO CONFIRMATION EMAIL RE: RETURN ONCE INTIATED. BESURE TO TAKE A SCREEN SHOT TO CONFIRM DATE AT REQUESTED RETURN. I ordered the Cooling Quilt recommend by Wirecutter, a decent product if you don't live in a mountain climate where temperatures don't plunge 30 degrees at night. We tried it three nights, a valid sportsman's try. We were cold. The question is will they stonewall me until the end of my 30-day trial period and claim that I have exceeded the period in which I can return the product for a refund?! Stay tuned, is this just another case of corporate malfeasants or of a company that does what it proports? People beware of corporate grift. It's everywhere. There is no consumer protection anymore, so we are left to advocate for ourselves, while often interacting with AI robots. This is why I'm documenting. And thank you Trustpilot!! PLEASE GIVE ONLY 1 STAR when filling out Rest's customer satisfaction survey until after your return is resolved. If satisfied, then by all means shower them with stars. Let's see if I get my $164 refund, less $10 for whatever they can shake out of me. The great news is that they gave me 50 points to buy more stuff from them. Seriously? Never buying from anything Rest again. I don't care if their products are great or recommended by God.

Hi Kim, We’re sorry for the frustration, but we’d like to clarify the facts around your return. Our records show that your return was successfully submitted through our self-service platform within the 30-day return period. The final screen confirms the request has been submitted. While a separate confirmation email is not sent at that stage, the return label is emailed once issued. Your return label was sent three days after your request. We’re really sorry this took longer than our usual 48-hour timeframe, and we understand how the lack of an earlier update may have made the wait feel longer. We’re actively reviewing this part of the return process so customers receive clearer and more timely confirmation moving forward. Regarding the product, the Cooling Comfoter is designed to provide a cool to the touch feel, so we understand it may not be the best fit for a mountain climate with significant overnight temperature drops. The successful submission and issued return label confirm that your return was not denied or rejected. Our $10 return processing fee is clearly outlined in our return policy and return communications. Once the parcel is delivered back to our warehouse, we will process the eligible refund accordingly. Thank you so much for taking the time to leave your honest feedback!
