Six months after purchasing our HGVC timeshare my husband passed away. When I notified HGVC of my circumstances the response was “You had 10 days after your purchase to change your mind. Sorry. We can’t help you.” Having heard nothing but horror stories about trying to get out of timeshare ownership, I had no idea where to turn. After 7 years of never using my time I decided I had to get rid of it. After searching through dozens of reviews of timeshare “disposers” I came across an excellent article in Travel and Leisure magazine praising the work of Resort Closings. I immediately called and reached Ann Haugum who spent nearly an hour with me explaining every step of the process that Resort Closings uses to divest owners of their unwanted timeshare. She took time to explain every step of the process, all paperwork that I had to provide, and the different arms of the company that would be working with me, AND the total fees involved. In addition, she made it clear that she would be available to address any questions or concerns I might have. I was told the entire process could take up to 6-8 months, but I had a successful closing within 6 months! And the fees were under $3500. I would wholeheartedly recommend Resort Closings to anyone who has fears of high cost, drawn out processes to get them out of a timeshare situation which they can no longer use or afford.

For a fraction of the cost and a very pleasant experience, Resort Closings helped us out of a painful situation by selling our time share. All of our contacts with staff were friendly and courteous. Necessary paperwork was handled promptly and efficiently. Overall, a painless process.
