I have an order with them right now for glasses $725 they took out the money immediately. Then I received a call that my frames were not in stock, do I want to pick another frame or send a pair in. I choose another pair right away and was told they need to check with their frames department to see if it were in stock. Hum... it doesn't say out of stock on the website. Well.. today I got the standard same call we are sorry but your frames are not in stock do you want to "send us a pair"? I'm now wondering what is going on with frames??? Are they trying to push me to a more expensive pair? I chose the third pair today, 8 days later after my order was placed and if they don't have it I will cancel my order and I better get my money refunded. I hope this company isn't a scam when I could have went to any online company for much less. :(

Received my frames in a sturdy cardboard box inside wrapped in bubble wrap was a cardboard sleeve containing broken frames with new lenses. Considering the package was not damaged in shipping, it is safe to say my frames were broke before being placed in the box. There were obvious pressure points were the lens was forced into the frame (verified by my optometrist office). I have requested a refund for the lenses (of course I have to pay to ship them back) and that is all good...It is a "ship at your own risk" my problem is my glasses WERE NOT DAMAGED IN SHIPPING!!! TERRIBLE EXPERIENCE!! Obviously, I should add my frames were new as of February 2018, I warrantied them with my optometrist. I was never told to keep the lenses, this is just not true. I was told I would receive a refund once the lenses were returned. Truly a disappointment. UPDATE 9/3/2018: I was given a full refund on initial purchase and was allowed to order frames and lenses at no cost for the inconvenience. This seemed to be a communication issue and was resolved once it was clarified.

I ordered replacement lenses for a frame that they did not have a lens spec made for yet, and they made the lenses just fine. The only issue is that the right lens goes out of focus when I look up about 15 degrees. The left lens is fine. I live in Japan so it's not worth sending them back to be re-done. Another disappointment was that the company registered the frames and lenses in the international parcel as if they were new, so I had to pay customs tax to get my own glasses back. It was not worth the $20 to dispute the tax, but it added 10% to the order cost. :(

I know I have very bad eyesight, and expect there to be a delay in receiving my new glasses, but this order took over a month to receive, and the only communication I received was in answer to my repeated status inquiries. With all of that, the glasses turned out exactly as I'd hoped, and I'm very pleased with the end result.

I specified USPS; it's written on the invoice. You shipped ground to the west coast--that's as slow as it gets. And I'm not the first to complain about this. Why does RLE even offer slow shipping to the left coast? You should offer a $5 option to have someone double check the shipping instructions. Otherwise, the lenses are the real deal. They don't make opticians like this anymore.
