Not reliable.
It is an attractive website to place your homes photographs and description on. I only got one response and it did turn out to be the tenant I have now. But the lack of other responses indicates that this is a lousy site. In such a hot housing market, there should’ve been dozens of responses. Then, I used their rent payment collection system that is somehow intertwined with another company called Yapstone. Yapstone set up the payment arrangement to be deposited in my checking account, but the payments arrived later and later each month over the year. The arrangement between the Yapstone and rentals.com is obscure, and when you make a complaint about the lack of verification of rental payments, one company points to the other company. Finally in September 2022 Yapstone stopped the payment collection and did not advise me until I noticed there were no deposit in my account. When I contacted them, they said they have ceased collecting the rent, without any explanation. They suggested I contact rentals.com. But as you can tell from the rest of these negative reviews, rentals.com is not responsive. The next time I want to rent my house, I will look for another company.
