The site was a scam. The 5 stars you see on their sites are fake, you are asked to rate them 5 even before starting to work.
They place you with the worst companies you will ever encounter, with micromanagement or absurd expectations expected.
I got assigned to a client who was a total chaos with contradictory orders, I was never given a signed contract, I communicated I wanted to resign because I was not comfortable with the place, yet, kept pushing to continue.
When I resigned I was not paid, and contacted them about for weeks, and I never got any response back.

★☆☆☆☆ — A disappointing first impression that cost them our business
I attended an introductory meeting with Remote Latinos, looking forward to exploring the possibility of hiring four to six remote employees for HDM Tax Group, including bookkeepers and tax preparers. Unfortunately, my experience with Johan Giraldo left me with no interest in moving forward.
From the beginning, I found his attitude rude and dismissive. I felt I had to repeat information because he was not listening carefully, and his approach made the conversation unnecessarily frustrating. An initial screening should be an opportunity to understand a prospective client’s needs and establish trust. In my experience, this meeting accomplished neither.
We came prepared to discuss investing in a remote team. What we expected was basic professionalism, attention, and respect. This was the worst introductory experience I have had with a remote staffing service.
Remote Latinos should seriously reconsider who represents the company as its first point of contact. Based on my interaction with Johan, I would not recommend their service. We will be taking our search—and our business—elsewhere.

George, we reviewed the full recording of this call, and unfortunately your review does not accurately reflect what happened.
You joined the call, declined to turn your camera on, which was completely fine… and confirmed that you had not watched the introductory video we sent beforehand. Johan then proceeded to explain our service and asked questions about your business, your previous experience hiring internationally, and what type of team you were looking to build.
You explained that you had previously worked with remote employees from the Philippines, Thailand, and India, and that you were now specifically interested in Latin American talent because of your English- and Spanish-speaking client base. Johan then walked you through the different hiring models available and asked which structure made the most sense for you.
The disagreement happened when Johan attempted to clarify why your previous remote workers were no longer working with you. You accused him of not listening and stated that you had already explained why. However, after reviewing the transcript, you had explained how you previously hired them and that you no longer worked with them, but you had not actually explained why those relationships ended.
Once the conversation became confrontational, Johan determined that we were probably not a good fit and respectfully ended the meeting with: “Wish you the best, George. Take care.”
We absolutely welcome criticism when we fall short. But describing this interaction as rude, dismissive, or a failure to listen leaves out important context from the actual conversation.
We have retained the complete recording and transcript and are comfortable providing them to Trustpilot if necessary.

They mediate, but always side with the client. Candidates are not protected by any party.
I trusted Remote Latinos. However, when things went wrong with the client, I realized quickly that candidates are not the priority here.
The offer was communicated via WhatsApp with no signed contract and no candidate protection policy.
The onboarding call their own welcome email promised never happened. When the client expanded the scope of my role weekly, sent messages outside contracted hours, and ultimately withheld payment for work that was fully delivered and documented, I brought everything to Remote Latinos with evidence.
They acknowledged the issues. They said they mediated. And then they closed the case in the client's favor with no accountability for the time and work invested.
If you're a candidate considering a placement through this agency, ask them one question before you accept: what happens if the client doesn't pay me? Get the answer in writing. Because when it counts, their loyalty is with the client.

I was hired through this platform
I was hired through this platform, but when I informed them that I needed support in finding a new placement, since the person I was working with was not a good match. I provided proof of the situation, and they chose to ignore it. They didn’t offer any additional job opportunities, nor did they appear to have any procedures in place for cases like this.

At Remote Latinos, clients are treated like gods, and candidates like replaceable parts.
Took me too long to post this review. But let me tell you something before I start, the last client I worked with through Remote Latinos was back in mid-April, after we ended the agreement, guess what? That's right. Nobody EVER CONTACTED ME to see what happened or offer a replacement. Let me take you back to September, 2024 to get the full picture.
My experience with Remote Latinos was a complete disaster. If you’re a serious professional, especially in sales or dispositions, do NOT waste your time with them. They are a recruitment agency that prioritizes greed and client control over integrity, protection, or fairness for the talent they claim to represent.
From the very beginning, I was promised opportunities that matched my experience, growth after probation, and a chance to lead, all lies. They knew how strong my profile is, my experience in many managerial positions, how i ran manpower of over 100+ employees, yet, they were completely racist to the fact I hold both American and Egyptian nationalities. There was no other way to see it. Your experience means nothing infront of an un-educated management and chairmen who value their own benefit over your career.
Client #1 was dysfunctional from day one. Even Remote Latinos themselves admitted how hard he was to deal with. I was told during onboarding that if I “proved myself,” we’d discuss a commission structure and promotion to a managerial role after probation. I stuck it out and did exactly that, six full months of handling a messy pipeline, chaotic systems, and nonstop pressure. Just when I thought I’d earned the stability I was promised, I found out they were sourcing an operations manager behind my back. When I resigned due to the lack of clarity and broken promises, I was immediately replaced. No conversation. No recognition. Just another transaction.
Client #2 was beyond unprofessional. He was literally shirtless and smoking hookah during meetings, while expecting impossible results from a broken sales system. I repeatedly flagged issues and offered solutions to fix his sales pipeline, but I was blamed instead. When we couldn’t close a deal, he forced the team to stay on shift until midnight, and then fired five people on the spot just because he felt like it. Remote Latinos took his word over mine, as if his behavior was acceptable. No support, no protection, just silence.
(P.S: I had proper documentation of all the incidents, they never bothered to follow-up and see where the cracks were)
Client #3, while not toxic, told me I was too seasoned and overqualified, and admitted they hired me too soon. They simply didn’t have enough work for someone at my level. And again, Remote Latinos just let me go with no replacement plan, no follow-up, no apology. Just another dead end.
There is no protection, no accountability, and no contract structure in place for their talent. You’ll be sold on attractive hourly rates for off shore candidates, but with no assurance of long-term stability or fair treatment. Once you’re placed, they disappear, until the client decides to replace you, and then they’ll toss you aside and start over with someone else.
Remote Latinos will gaslight you, label you “difficult” for asking for what was promised or just the fact you know your worth and how to properly move mountains in the market. They give 100% control to clients, no matter how abusive, unstable, or unprofessional.
They overpromise. They underdeliver. And they treat their candidates like disposable labor, no matter how much you bring to the table.
If you’re a seasoned professional with actual experience, stay far away from Remote Latinos. They do not protect you. They do not respect you. They are in it for the money, and they will always choose the client over your livelihood, every single time.
