The exchange rate was higher but the amount that I received is less due to the service tax and other things. I have used many services prior to RemitLite but always got the amount as shown, whereas here I lost almost 1 INR per USD.

This service hold my amount for 11 days and on the day of transaction expected amount was different and exchange rate was different. When I saw the amount in my account was completely different. I did 2999$ amount transaction to India at exchange rate 62.4894 , total amount = 187219. But now I see the amount 185971 and they have included the service tax as well, that was ever mentioned in the intial PDF. Don't use this service .. there guys cheat ppl

these guys literally hold your money as long as they want (am talking about atleast 10 days easily) and will give you tons of excuses like account not verified, even after verification after 8 days of withdrawing money form your account they wil send you an email asking if you still wanna transfer the money. and literally you will easily loose 10 days in it and still wont be transfered, on the 11 th day you will get an email saying it ll be credited to the beneficiary in next 48 hours. which literally mean your beneficiary wont get the money easily or wont get it in 12 days. They dont have a contact number so you have no way to call them and ask. they have only one email address and it take days for them to respond.

These guys quote you the highest transfer rate, but they do deposit when they feel the rate has dropped upon their profit, then they bug the heck out of you (sometimes calling 3x a day) to quote rates. I had a one time send of money and now a lifetime headache of marketing calls...arrrrrr

First, they will kidnap your phone number after you set up an account to call you every other day to follow up on if you are sending money or not. Second, if you want to send 2laks, forget it, because they will calculate and wait till rate drops then they send the money to your relatives, meaning they will get less than 2laks, then you have to send again ARRRRRR :( Third, too much verification process, have to answer the same question 10 times both from sender's end and receiver's end. Feels like a job interview hahaaha. Fourth, forget the amount of time it takes. Fifth, it works, but in their own way, not yours!

Cons: 1) No customer support phone number 2) Money will be taken from your bank account but will not be in your India account for days and days and days.... 3) Watch out for the exchange rate... It might be higher but you land up paying 2.99 fee + service tax for every transaction :) Pros: 1) Website "looks like" a professional one! but can irritate you quickly when you start using the website.
