Reliable RespiratoryReviews of reliablerespiratory.com

They are pleasant, but I have had to call about supplies that didn’t come when I was told they would. I have had this happen on more than one occasion. On the plus side, when you need them to come to your house, they are very good about doing that.

Buying supplies through insurance is a racket—prices are artificially inflated to double or more available prices through other vendors, and after insurance sits just below the cost of supplies through Amazon or similar vendors. Unfortunately, the insurance company doesn’t give me the option, so I’m stuck. This should be illegal. And from my understanding, it is common practice to abuse patients who buy medical supplies through insurance. As far as service, Reliable Respiratory has been civil, and timely with responses to all questions and orders.

I think they charge too much for their products.

Not sending resmed use age data or updates. Supplies are little higher then market

Changed the monthly amount they were charging me without any notice. They should have mailed me something first that I could accept before auto billing me a higher amount.

Communications hampered making this a higher rating. Never took an interest in me and my needs, never offered options, never informed of new equipment or updated equipment.

honestly, i’m neither impressed or displeased. the fact that they are on the other side of the state bothers me. they don’t advertise their toll free number practically at all. took me a while of searching through fine print to find it hidden in the literature. for me, this was a huge problem as i only have local calling. contacting them is hit or miss. sometimes they answer quickly, other times you are on hold forever and get connected to the janitor on a crappy line. they don’t have many service options. just when you think you’re signed up for auto-deliveries, think again. recently they pushed to get a “health portal”, but i refuse to place my trust in a low budget company that is susceptible to hacking. you get what your insurance pays for and they don’t offer payment plans for travel C-Paps or etc. personally i’m considering switching to a local supplier, however haven’t been annoyed enough to switch yet.

My first in-home consultation with Reliable respiratory was great. They took the time to explain everything and make me as comfortable as possible with the equipment. I have found the follow up stuff was pretty good. I was able to email with them to discuss different mask options and finally found one that works. My biggest negative with them is their pricing. They billed my insurance company more than double the price of some equipment that I can find on Amazon. Masks, hoses, etc. I can buy on Amazon for so much less and then just submit to my insurance company myself. I'm on a plan with a very high deductible so I end up paying for everything out of pocket, and maybe it works out OK for others, but for me, even the "negotiated" rates through insurance were much higher than what I could pay for the exact same brands/models on Amazon. I did email the company twice to ask them about the pricing and never got a response. I'll buy from Amazon now whenever possible.
