I’m seeing several reviews with the same issue as myself. I financed with Regional back in 2018. Unfortunately, I didn’t realize until about 2021/22 that majority of my payment was going to interest. Out of a payment of $525, maybe $25 was going to the principal balance. By that time, it seemed as if I would be paying on the car for forever so I refinanced and it was the best decision. I am seeking an attorney to see if it’s possible to recoup funds that I overpaid because I’m pretty sure they were increasing my interest rate as if I agreed to variable interest or something. They robbed me of so much money and wasted too much of my time. Worst mistake ever financing with them.

Well Regional Acceptance is the worst…
Well Regional Acceptance is the worst experience I had with them like the situation I'm in now they were a major setback for me I can't get rid of car cuz it's a lien on it and I'm frustrated they didn't want to release the lein when I tell you that I was trying to get the car back to them and surrender it they basically tell me that the vehicle is going to be abandoned and the value of the car that's why they didn't want it they don't give two shits and I asked them to do that cuz what is a purpose of making these payments I'm not even driving the car anymore it's sitting in my driveway with no tags and then I told him to get the car and if I pay it off it's going to take me a long time cuz I'm struggling they just the the worst so I wouldn't recommend anybody to them cuz they full of shit but this was the worst experience and I regret getting a car through them cuz I know it was going to be this hard now I got to deal with another situation and they was not helpful

Your Worst Financing Decision Might Be Regional Acceptance
My experience with Regional Acceptance Corporation has been bad enough that I would strongly caution anyone considering an auto loan serviced by this company.
The customer service alone has been remarkably unprofessional. I have dealt with representatives who interrupt while I'm speaking, talk over me when I try to explain an account problem, and provide answers that are inconsistent with information I've received from other representatives. On more than one occasion, I've felt that the goal was to end the conversation rather than actually investigate the problem. I have even had a representative hang up on me during a dispute about my account.
Unfortunately, the customer service problems are only part of the issue.
I have serious concerns about the way Regional Acceptance has handled payments on my account. I made a payment while my account showed an existing past-due amount. Regional Acceptance accepted the payment and applied a substantial portion of it toward principal, yet did not apply any of it toward the amount they continued to show as past due.
That makes very little sense to me as a borrower. If a company believes I owe a past-due amount, I expect it to be able to clearly explain why money I subsequently paid was applied elsewhere while that delinquency remained on the account. Instead, getting a clear explanation of their payment-allocation process has been extraordinarily difficult.
I have also encountered discrepancies involving the balance associated with my loan. The balance being reported has not appeared to match the balance reflected in Regional Acceptance's own account information. I have repeatedly sought an explanation of what exactly makes up the reported balance and how it was calculated.
This should be a simple question for any financial institution to answer. A loan servicer should be able to provide a customer with an itemized accounting showing the principal balance, accrued interest, fees, past-due amounts, payments received, and how each payment was applied. A borrower should not have to repeatedly call customer service just to understand why different numbers are appearing in connection with the same loan.
These issues are particularly serious because an auto lender or servicer is not simply providing an ordinary customer service. Its handling of an account can affect whether a borrower is considered delinquent, what information is reported to credit bureaus, additional charges, collection activity, and potentially the borrower's ability to keep their vehicle.
I am now documenting my concerns formally and requesting a complete written accounting from Regional Acceptance. If the discrepancies cannot be adequately explained or corrected, I intend to pursue the matter through the appropriate consumer protection and financial regulators.
Based on my experience, I would not voluntarily finance another vehicle through Regional Acceptance Corporation.
My advice to anyone who already has an account with this company is simple: keep records of everything. Save every statement and payment confirmation. Take screenshots of your online account. Keep copies of correspondence. Make notes about telephone conversations, including dates and times. Whenever there is a disagreement about your account, ask for the explanation in writing.
And if you're currently buying a vehicle and discover that Regional Acceptance will be handling the financing, research the company carefully before you sign. Choosing a lender isn't only about the interest rate or monthly payment. You're potentially going to be dealing with that company for years, and competent, transparent account servicing matters.

I had an auto loan
I had an auto loan. I paid it off. I moved three years ago and have called several times. Each time they verified my address. I paid it off. I called after a couple of weeks to see where my title was. They again verified my address. I was told that it was sent out the prior week and to give it another week. I gave more than a week. Called back and was told that it was sent to my previous address and that my new address was no where on the account. My title is now floating out there somewhere, who knows where. The best that they could do was sent a title release that we would have to take to the DMV. It would take another week. We are trying to sell the vehicle. We asked for to be expedited. They would but we had to pay for it even though it was their fault. We asked to speak to a manager. We waited several minutes for them to get a manager. We were then transferred to a voicemail. We left a message and have yet to be contacted. We have waited several days.
